  2. 7 Habits Of Healthy Eating

Healthy eating and living a healthy lifestyle has a lot to do with forming the right habits. Here are seven of the best habits you can develop when it comes to healthy eating. Start by picking one of them and making it a habit of your own before moving on to the next. Before you know it, you will have developed a much healthier eating lifestyle.

    Drink Plenty of Water
Your body has to stay well hydrated to perform at its best and to properly process all the nutrients in the food you eat. Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. You may need even more water if you are in a hot environment – like spending the day at the beach in 95-degree weather, or if you are exercising.

If you are trying to lose weight, add plenty of ice to each glass of water. Your body will burn energy to warm the water up to body temperature. Research has shown you can speed up your metabolism by 1/3 by drinking several glasses of ice water each day.

    Eat Breakfast
You’ve probably heard this before; breakfast is the most important meal of the day. After not eating for the past ten hours, your body needs fuel to get you going. You will have more energy and will be more alert after eating breakfast.

A recent study has shown that women who eat breakfast will consume an average of 100 calories less during the day than their counterparts who skipped breakfast. If you are trying to lose weight, eating breakfast is a definite must.

Make sure your children eat breakfast as well. They will be more alert in school and able to concentrate better.

    Don’t Skip Lunch
There are many days when we are tempted to skip lunch. We are trying to lose weight and want to save some calories; we don’t have the time and end up working through our lunch break, or have errands to run. Let’s take a look at what happens when we skip lunch. Blood sugar levels drop, metabolism slows down to compensate for the missing fuel and when you get home you are starving and eat everything you can get your hands on.

Eat a light lunch each day. If you don’t have time to go out, pack a brown bag lunch. Fix a turkey sandwich and some carrots or grapes in the morning and take them with you for a quick lunch at your desk.

    Choose Your Snacks Carefully
We all need to snack from time to time. In fact, it’s a good idea to eat two healthy snacks in addition to your three main meals. This doesn’t mean that you can stop by the snack machine and grab a bag of chips or a candy bar.

Choose healthy snacks like fruits and vegetables, low fat yogurt, cottage cheese with applesauce, some whole-wheat crackers with cheese, or some trail mix.

    Eat Your Fruit and Vegetables
There is a good reason the 5-a-day campaign was started. We should eat at least 5 servings of fruits and vegetables a day, yet many of us get hardly any servings in at all. Grab a piece of fruit for a snack, add some banana and raisins to your favorite breakfast cereal, have a salad with lunch, and make it a habit to fix at least one vegetable side with dinner each night. A simple fruit salad of cut up fruit dressed with a touch of lemon juice and honey makes for a quick and delicious desert any night of the week.

    Avoid Late Dinners
With our busy lives we are always tempted to put of dinner until the last minute. Try to eat dinner at least 3 hours before you go to bed. This will give your body a chance to digest most of the food before you rest for the next 8 hours.

A strategy that has worked well for me is to plan dinner for the week ahead of time and making sure I have every thing I need in the house. It allows me to get dinner started as soon as I get home and cuts out the extra time it takes to dig through the cupboards trying to find something to make and then running to the store to get the remaining ingredients.

Take a few minutes one day a week and plan the entire menu. Make a grocery list and shop for everything you need for the next few days. You may even want to post your menu on the fridge so other family members can get a head start on dinner if you have a late meeting at the office.

    Keep a Food Journal
Do you really know what you are eating each day? We often snack and eat more at regular meals than we realize. To get a better idea of what you are eating on a daily basis keep a food journal for a few days. All you need is a notebook and a pen. Write down everything you eat and drink in a given day. It is also a good idea to make notes about any emotions related to what you eat. For example, if you had a bad day at the office, and you have 2 slices of cheesecake after you get home as a result, write it down. You’ll be able to analyze what causes you to choose unhealthy foods and at what times of the day you are most likely to grab unhealthy foods. Recognizing what you bad eating habits are is the first step toward correcting the behavior.

You will be amazed how much better you will feel by incorporating these seven habits of healthy eating. Give them a try and see for yourself. Over the next few months we will be discussing many other health related topics. Don’t miss next month’s issue about easy ways to incorporate exercise into your daily routine.

Health is very important to us. When we have a good health body we can study well and won't be easy tired. Besides that, when we have a good health body we also won't be easy sick. And to get a good health body, healthy eating habit is the one way. We should choose a suitable food in a day to make our health in the stable level.

  3. Global Warming
It's a problem. What should we do now? What i am talking now? Well I am trying to bring to your attention on "GLOBAL WARMING".

Global warming is not something new. But then, this simple term of "global warming" is taken rather lightly among the people nowdays. It's very sad though to come to think about it. Simple statement, when the emission of carbon monoxide along with other toxic gas increases, the thinner the ozone layer gets. And if this happens, our earth is going to increase in heat. This is not good!If heat increases, forest fire, acid rain causing corrosion to building, along with greenhouse effect and etc will occur and certainly our earth is at a state of danger. AND WE ARE LIVING IN IT? EVER THOUGHT OF IT THAT WAY? Ok lets say if your house is on fire, there is a chance to run out. But if our earth is on fire, where would you escape? Out of space? I don't think so.

In the article, it's mentioned that "decisions made by the next president will be critically important, since industrialized nations will have to make steeper cuts to meet the goal". This statement was brought out because, countries especially the U.S is sadi to be the worlds top carbon polluter. Ok, the majority is just looking at it in the point of a countries responsibility but least has anyone thought about our responsibility as an individual. It's our World that we are living in. Don't you feel the need to take good care of the place they are living in? Therefore, after reading this article, I feel there is a need for me to remind Let us be in "One Family, One World" to save Earth from Global Warming. Thank you!

  4. Globalization
Having a thought on Global Warming I felt I wanted to read about Globalization. And here you are today about Globalization.

It was not until the Second World War that globalization is being a more common term.Or more well known to people.Actually globalization started since ancient time. The Silk road that China uses to trade with the western is a good prove. Roman empire trade with the northern region (Norway) is also another example. And later on the Islam Empire uses the Silk Road again to trade with the eastern world. Therefore it is wrong for third world country to close their borders to the outside world in the name of protecting the people economy.
Closing a country will only shows lack of technology expertise and lack will of competeness. Since globalization is at your door step why not let them come in.Let the outsider invest in our country.Let the the economy flow. Let's take today's biggest franchise and coperate. Mc Donald. Nearly every corner you would see McDonald. But will McDonald makes cause a slow down in our economy.No. Infact McDonald gives us more jobs opportunity . And it makes our Ringgit stronger. In my humble opinion if a foreign do interested to invest in a country. That shows that country itself is stable terms of political aspect.Economy.Public safety.Well equip with facility such as road , banks and such. In the end both country will progress forward and both will actually benefit in terms of stronger diplomatic ties and economy.
Country who denied globalization will eventually collapse.

  5. 13 DIFFERENCES BETWEEN MEN AND WOMEN :

    1. NAMES:
If Laurie, Linda, Elizabeth and Barbara go out for lunch, they will
call each other Laurie, Linda, Elizabeth and Barbara.
If Mark, Chris, Eric and Tom go out, they will affectionately refer
to each other as Fat Boy, Godzilla, Peanut-Head and Scrappy.

    2. EATING OUT:
When the bill arrives, Mark, Chris, Eric and Tom will each throw in
a $20, even though it's only for $32.50. None of them will have
anything smaller and none will actually admit they want the change
back. When the women get their bill, out come the pocket calculators.

    3. MONEY:
A man will pay $2 for a $1 item he needs.
A woman will pay $1 for a $2 item that she doesn't need but it's on sale.

    4. BATHROOMS:
A man has five items in his bathroom: a toothbrush, shaving cream,
razor, a bar of soap, and a towel from the Marriott.
The average number of items in the typical woman's bathroom is 337.
A man would not be able to identify most of these items.

    5. ARGUMENTS:
A woman has the last word in any argument.
Anything a man says after that is the beginning of a new argument.

    6. CATS:
    Women love cats.
Men say they love cats, but when women aren't looking, men kick cats.

    7. FUTURE:
A woman worries about the future until she gets a husband.
A man never worries about the future until he gets a wife.

    8. SUCCESS:
A successful man is one who makes more money than his wife can spend.
A successful woman is one who can find such a man.

    9. MARRIAGE:
A woman marries a man expecting he will change, but he doesn't.
A man marries a woman expecting that she won't change and she does.

    10. DRESSING UP:
A woman will dress up to go 4 shopping, to water the plants, empty
the garbage, answer the phone, read a book, and read the mail.
A man will dress up for weddings and funerals.

    11. NATURAL:
Men wake up as good-looking as they went to bed.
Women somehow deteriorate during the night.

    12. OFFSPRING:
Ah, children. A woman knows all about her children. She knows about
dentist appointments and romances, best friends, favourite foods,
secret fears and hopes and dreams.
A man is vaguely aware of some short people living in the house.

    13. FINAL THOUGHT:
Any married man should forget his mistakes.
There's no use in two people remembering the same thing.

I suggest that women and men should mutual assistance to maintain the relationship.....

  6. Are you going through the pain of a breakup? The process of healing a broken heart is never easy, but there are things you can do today to start feeling better.
Understand that the painful feelings you're experiencing are totally normal and that it's ok to feel them. Resisting these painful emotions is a natural reaction, but what you resist will persist. That means that the more you try to suppress or fight these feelings, the more powerful they will become. The first step towards healing a broken heart is to accept your feelings and experience them fully.you'll immediately feel a sense of relief and peace as though a weight has been lifted off your shoulders.
The best thing to do is give the relationship a healthy break. During this break, work on building up your inner strength and independence.
It's not a big when you fail in love...should be strong...moving on...

  7. Top Ten Comic Book Character
Superman - There absolutely cannot be a top ten list of comic book characters without the Man of Steel. He's one of the first (arguably THE first) superhero to ever grace the four-color world, and thus his history is one of the richest. He's also one of the most popular in both comics and worldwide as viewed by the general public. He represents truth, justice, righteousness and morality.

Batman - Not quite so altruistic, but every bit as popular and loved is the Dark Knight. He may not always do the right thing, or do it the right way, but his motives are always pure, and his intent is always clear. He's well rounded and complete, and a little bit gritty, and that's why we like him.

Spider-Man - The boy next door; the everyman; the geeky kid a great majority of us can relate to who overcomes the odds and becomes something great. Spider-Man gives us hope that we can achieve that same greatness in our own special ways. He truly is a standard bearer and a true hero to the core, always trying to do the right thing, but many times messing it up horribly, thus proving he's still human, and thus endearing him more and more to our hearts.

Lex Luthor - The arch-nemesis of the 'Blue Boyscout', Superman, Lex Luthor is all kinds of evil wrapped up in money and a well pressed, expensive suit. He's diabolically clever and vicious, and he never lets Supes sleep on the job.

Captain America - Maybe not as popular in modern times as he was in the days of World War II when he first appeared on the comic scene, but still a symbol of America and classic comics from the Golden and Silver ages. Captain America is displaced and so he views the world a bit differently than the rest of us. He sees things the way they should be in his mind, which isn't always the most popular point of view. He's often portrayed as a boy scout, but truthfully he's much deeper than that, and that's where the appeal lies.

Wolverine - Overused or not, Logan is one of the most popular comic book characters in existence today. When he first burst onto the scene in the revitalized X-Men he quickly gained an everlasting fan base because of the difference he brought to the table. He's not your typical do-gooder hero, though he always does fight for the right causes. He's temperamental, at times insecure, rude, crude and unpredictable. He's a loner with a heart of gold and a penchant for violence. He's an anti-hero who takes no crap, but at the same time he deeply cares about those he surrounds himself with.

Wonder Woman - The first widely received female superhero, Wonder Woman is by far the most popular female comic book character to date. She comes from a world where women are dominant, which gained her popularity early on in the women's liberation movement. She stands head-to-head and toe-to-toe with any male superhero, and she shows them up oftentimes. She's a strong, beautiful, intelligent and yet still feminine heroine with a costume that has become more than iconic.

The Joker - The thorn in Batman's side rightly deserves a place on this list for his epic battles with the 'Caped Crusader'. Of all comic book characters in the superhero realm, there is none quite like the Joker. He's maniacal, insane, and ruthless, yet charming, smooth and debonair at the same time. He's a mass murderer and a child killer, and he's obsessed with Batman.

The Flash - If underoos and t-shirts are any indication, The Flash is one of the most noticeable and popular iconic comic book characters of all time. He's a fan-favorite of comic readers and non-comic fans alike. He's known worldwide and his trademark red costume with the white circle and yellow lightning bolt are instantly recognized. But more than appearance, it's his powers and his wit that land him on this list. He's one of the original comic relief superheroes in the genre with his sarcastic and humorous banter that rivals that of Spider-Man.

The Incredible Hulk - Mr. Green Genes himself has to make this list merely for his iconic status in the world of comics and beyond. He's a classic hero that has gained notoriety through comics, television and film. And with the popularity of the second Hulk film that just released, his star will only continue to rise. Couple that with the massive success of Planet Hulk and the Incredible one is a force to be reckoned with. Whether it’s his intense power, or the dynamic between that power and the weak, but intelligent alter-ego Bruce Banner,

for me, i more prefer japanese comics...so this types of comic just so so to me...hehe

  8. Recently I had read an article about “Acomplia”, a multifunctional diet pill. Its positive effects on weight loss and smoking cessation are highly beneficial and proved to be very effective. Weight loss is perhaps the most talked topic of late. It’s not only considered as a problem but medical science mark it as an epidemic. It is a nutritional disorder that arises due to over consumption of fats then our body requires. The new diet pill Acomplia is generating great interest among the overweight patients on this pretext. Proven records are also available related to its success on obesity.
Apart for keeping a person free from excess weight, the diet pill Acomplia also helps a person in stopping his or her urges for smoking. In fact it is a multifunctional diet pill and is very effective indeed.
According to studies, there are nerve receptors called CB1receptors that exist in the brain and fat cells. These receptors urge the body to overeat and smoke. Acomplia works by targeting the CBI receptors and blocking the body's ability to receive signals that tells it to smoke or eat more. It helps to normalize the EndoCannabinoid System thus making hunger and cigarette cravings more manageable. This blocking of signals results in weight loss. It further improves the cardiovascular or metabolic risk factors in obese people and reduces their dependence on nicotine and helps them quit smoking.
Though, studies on the side-effects of Acomplia have been done, but are clinically proved to be tolerable and mild. Dizziness nausea, stomach upset, depression and sweating are a few to mention. Though reports of overdose haven’t been proved till date, but better to discard the practice, for it may be proved harmful sometimes.
Although promising results are proved, it is should be used under a good dietician’s observation. Often there are misconceptions among its users that an overdose or double dose of Acomplia will show faster results. But one should know the fact it’s a drug and trying to overdose it can prove to be fatal.

  9. If You are sick of losing the same weight over and over, and feeling like a failure because your last "diet" didn't work, try these tips to not only lose weight, but lose it for good.

    1. Keep a food diary
For at least five days and up to a week, keep a pen and paper handy and write down everything you eat, how much, where and when you ate it and who you ate with. try to write it down as you eat it. Be completely honest with yourself. You don't need to show anyone the results, but most will be very surprised by them. Particular environments and people can often trigger certain eating behaviors that are redily apparent when you use a food log. free fitness journal/food log.

    2. Don't eat too little
Very low calorie diets will, in the short term, help you lose weight but they're extremely difficult to maintain. You'll gradually become tired and irritable, lack the energy to exercise, and people won't want to eat with you because the long list of 'taboo' foods renders restaurant menus, and even family meals at home, unsuitable for your overly strict diet.

    3. Neither feast nor fast
"breakfast is the most important meal of the day." Studies show that those who skip the first meal, end up eating more total calories throughout the day and tend to make less healthy choices. Try to eat at least 3 meals a day. Optimally you should spread your calories throughout 6 small meals per day. This will keep your metabolism bustling and yuor blood sugar level even to help avoid binging.

    4. Freshness Counts
at least 3 - 5 servings from the fruit and vegetable group per day. no time to prepare "home made meals? Try preparing in bulk on the week ends to make healthy choices readily available. Cut up a large bowl of fresh fruit, (1c = 1 serving) or pre make a large bowl of salad or cut up veggies.

    5. Hydrate your way to quicker weight loss
Drink water ahead of coffee, tea, or soft drinks. Including the 'hidden' water we consume in food, we need 64 oz. per day. More is recommended to counteract the dehydration caused by caffeinated beverages and intense exercise or excessive heat.

    6. Eat less, exercise more
Many people eat out of habit when they are not even hungry. you may also need to make dietary changes if you begin or increase the intensity of a fitness program.

I know, you are going to say, "I don't have time because ...(insert your favorite excuse here) Ask yourself this..."how much more energy will I have when I am not carrying around this extra _____ pounds? How many more things will I enjoy and feel god while doing when I am in a fit healthy body? Is it worth a few minutes a day to incorporate these simple habits into your day?

  12. Your body is made up mostly of water. Most of us don’t drink enough of it though. One of the fastest ways to reduce your chances of having an anxiety attack is to eat a healthy diet and drink more water.it is a very helpful factor for anxiety treatment.

Almost every function of your body is managed and related to the efficient flow of water through our system. Water transports hormones, chemical messengers, and nutrients to vital organs of the body. When you don't keep your body well-hydrated, you may react with a variety of signals such as anxiety, which you would never think are related to the lack of drinking enough water.

    Water Helps Control Your Anxiety:

    • Most people are continually dehydrated.

    • When you think that you’re hungry, most of the time your body is trying to tell you that you’re thirsty instead.

    • One glass of water will satisfy your hunger pangs for almost all people.

    • Not drinking enough water is the root cause for daily fatigue.

Regular purified filtered drinking water is an essential part of your diet when searching for natural anxiety cures. You will be affected at the cellular level when you’re dried out and thirsty. At times, it can mimic anxiety symptoms. By drinking more purified filtered drinking water, your body will be rebalanced.

It is common that people with social anxiety say that alcohol helps them feel more comfortable in social situations. It’s no surprise that if you have anxiety, you have a greater chance of alcohol related problems than the general population.

You may have felt the emotional effects of dehydration on your body. If you ever experienced a hangover from overindulging, you know the feeling well. These hangovers are the result from alcohol. Alcohol is a diuretic, and it depletes your body of water. Always make sure to compensate for all of the water that you have lost.

You have to remember that dehydration is a major reason that contributes to anxiety. By changing your habits, like for example, eating a healthy diet, exercising every day for at least 30 minutes, and drinking plenty of clean purified filtered fluoride free water; your anxiety symptoms should vastly improve.

I have found that by drinking more water tremendously improves my overall mind-set of wellbeing, and lowers my feelings of anxiety, but it is mainly used for my overall health.

  13. Have you ever asked yourself the following question in some situation where you found yourself feeling pretty good? -- Why am I currently happy? You may not have felt this good just right before that. Aren't you the least bit curious about why it did change so suddenly? The reason is easy to understand.
As you go through your day, you are thinking of thousands of the words, some of these words are activated when you have your internal chatting with yourself. For instance, you see a bike, and then you think of the word bike. You are not even aware that you are thinking of most of these words .

You have associated the words you know to each other. For instance, when you see a bike and then think of the word bike, you might also think of the word light because most likely you have been told by your parents to remember to turn the lights on when you are driving your bike at night.
You have associated a feeling to each of these words. Not only have you associated the words you have learned previously in your life, you also assign a particular feeling to each of them.
However, just thinking of one word, you have associated a bad feeling to, is enough to ruin your good internal state that is caused by the words you are thinking of and have associated good feelings to. Fortunately, you can relearn the feeling you have associated to such a word.

Next time you notice you feel good, then try asking yourself this question: Why am I currently happy? You might find a word, you like very much. Think of that word more often then =)

  14. If you want a comfortable stay in the new country or city do a proper preparation. Before packing your luggage make a list of certain things: places you are going to visit, climatic conditions, how many days you will stay, where you will stay and what things you require for traveling. Remember certain things before leaving your home. Check the validity of the passport before you leave. You have visa for the country you are planning to visit. Do buy a map of San Francisco; it can help you if you get stuck in the new city. You should have some general information about the places you’re going to visit.

Before traveling see to it that you are carrying your passport, airways ticket, driving license, medical prescription and travelers check. If you are visiting the city
for a meeting and searching for a taxi, bus you may get late for your meeting. The best solution would be to use airport shuttle service. You can book your shuttle service online or call them. Airport Shuttle Company will pick you up from the airport and drop you at the Hotel or at your friends place. You don’t have to worry as you have booked your shuttle service online. Airport
shuttle service is inexpensive and do provide various services like Access to Internet, watching T.V, baby car seat service for your child.

Before leaving your city, check your balance in ATM card and also verify that can you withdraw cash from your ATM card in the country you are visiting. Try carrying small amount of local currency for immediate use to hold you over until you can make it to a currency exchange, if you’re planning foreign travel. Do carry your general vaccination or medication for safety. Do advance hotel booking to avoid seasonal rush in your destination place.

When you pack your bag, remember to leave some space in your bag so that while coming back you can carry extra things which you have purchased. Do carry sweater, rain jacket, swimsuit, cotton dresses and comfortable pair of sleepers. To capture your sweet memories carry a small pocket digital camera. Carry laptop, batteries, charger and your mobile. Airlines allow only limited space for your luggage so while packing see to it that you avoid necessary things.

  16. i know that we are now living in the modern era..
but there are few things that we should know...
for example,Did you know what is Hippie??

okay, hippie might exist during our parnets time..But the some of the hippies legacy still exist until today...
so lets see little bit bout the hippie movement.

Hippie fashions and values had a major effect on culture, influencing popular music, television, film, literature, and the arts. Since the 1960s, many aspects of hippie culture have been assimilated by mainstream society. The religious and cultural diversity espoused by the hippies has gained widespread acceptance, and Eastern philosophy and spiritual concepts have reached a wide audience. The hippie legacy can be observed in contemporary culture in myriad forms — from health food, to music festivals, to contemporary sexual mores, and even to the cyberspace revolution.

    so...that's little bit about hippie...

  17. The Benefits of Wearing Wedges rather than High Heels

For many women choosing between heels and wedges can be a difficult decision when deciding what shoes to wear on any particular occasion. However despite the fact that they offer some of the same benefits, in actual fact heels and wedges are a lot different in terms of comfort, aesthetics and also what situations they are appropriate for.

We can say that the biggest difference between heels and wedges is the comfort level if you are going to be wearing them for any length of time. With heels, because the pressure is being concentrated on one small area of the foot, the shoes will become very uncomfortable after a short time of wearing them. Wedges on the other hand balance the pressure at the whole foot, and are generally fine to wear all day without discomfort.

Wedges to be a lot more stable to stand in for long periods of time compared to heels, which can often be difficult to balance on. Also heels are no good for walking over soft surfaces such as grass, as you will simply sink into the ground. Wedges on the other hand are much more balanced in their weight distribution, and so are fine for all surfaces as well as being easier to walk in.

But there are certain types of outfits which heels don't tend to really go with, such as sweat pants and an old t-shirt for dong the grocery shopping. Wedges are more appropriate for a wider variety of different everyday situations, and work with any outfit.

If you are trying to look glamorous for a particular occasion, such as a family wedding, then wearing heels can sometimes be the better option for the photos and the ceremony.

However many women tend to take a pair of wedges with them as well, due to the fact that they are a lot more comfortable for wearing over long periods. This also means that people cannot tell you have changed shoes, as your height is still being increased.

Dad: Why does a father cannot say to his child how much he love him.He cannot hugs him and say "I love you my son"?
Mum: And mum?She will always say it either the child were listening or not.
Dad:But it does not mean that a father do not love his child.
Mum:Nobody can measure a mother's love to her child, not even the mother herself.Because there is no such measurement in this world. It is just an emotion can only be felt by MOTHERs.A mother emotion.

I read this article once and made me realize what is written is true.My dad never really said that he love me and my siblings but I know from his actions. And mum kept repeating it once in a while that if she did not love us,she would already throw us.Hahaha.

  19. How to become more attractive?

1.Votes do count!!: A research has shown that a person is perceived to be more attractive if people from the opposite sex were seen to smile at him. This means that having more people smile at you will result in making you appear more attractive especially if they were from the opposite sex. Being nice never works, but being nice to others do work Smiling

2.What makes people attractive?:Attraction happens on the unconscious level which means that logic has nothing to do with the process. Women become attracted to men who posses masculine traits because this gives them the sense of protection they are looking for. This means that making your voice deeper, standing tall, working out to build muscles or stretching your shoulders can make you 10 times more attractive.

3.Colors can change perceived attractiveness: In my book How to make someone fall in love with you i explained how wearing certain colors can affect the perception people have of you and how certain colors can make you more attractive. Research has shown that women who wear red are perceived to be more attractive while men who wear blue are perceived to be loyal and trust worthy which increases their attractiveness.

  21. The meaning of Yin - Yang:

Yin-Yang symbol represents the ancient Chinese understanding of how things work. The outer circle represents "everything", while the black and white shapes within the circle represent the interaction of two energies, called "yin" (black) and "yang" (white), which cause everything to happen. They are not completely black or white, just as things in life are not completely black or white, and they cannot exist without each other.
While "yin" would be dark, passive, downward, cold, contracting, and weak, "yang" would be bright, active, upward, hot, expanding, and strong. The shape of the yin and yang sections of the symbol, actually gives you a sense of the continual movement of these two energies, yin to yang and yang to yin, causing everything to happen: just as things expand and contract, and temperature changes from hot to cold.

  22. I love chocolate very much.
Chocolate comprises a number of raw and processed foods that are produced from the seed of the tropical cacao tree.

Chocolate has become one of the most popular flavors in the world. It is a common ingredient in many snacks and desserts, including cookies, cake, ice cream, pudding, pie and candy. Gifts of chocolate molded into different shapes have become traditional on certain holidays: chocolate bunnies and eggs are popular at Easter, chocolate coins on Hanukkah, Santa Claus and other holiday symbols at Christmas, and hearts on Valentine's Day. Chocolate is also used in cold and hot beverages, including chocolate milk and hot chocolate.

Many people like chocolate but chocolate also as a symbolic to be fat but a study reported by the BBC indicated that melting chocolate in one's mouth produced an increase in brain activity and heart rate that was more intense than that associated with passionate kissing, and also lasted four times as long after the activity had ended..
Recent studies have suggested that cocoa or dark chocolate may possess certain beneficial effects on human health. This is mainly caused by a particular substance present in cocoa called epicatechin.Cocoa possesses a significant antioxidant action, protecting against LDL oxidation, perhaps more than other polyphenol antioxidant-rich foods and beverages. Some studies have also observed a modest reduction in blood pressure and flow-mediated dilation after consuming dark chocolate daily. There has even been a fad diet, named "Chocolate diet", that emphasizes eating chocolate and cocoa powder in capsules. However, consuming milk chocolate or white chocolate, or drinking fat-containing milk with dark chocolate, appears largely to negate the health benefit.Processed cocoa powder (so called Dutch chocolate), processed with alkali greatly reduces the antioxidant capacity as compared to "raw" cocoa powder. Processing cocoa with alkali destroys most of the flavonoids.

A survey of more than 3,000 companies by the British Chambers of Commerce showed that most used energy efficient products and recycled equipment.

One in three said they trained their staff to reduce carbon emissions and a majority said climate change was now a high priority concern for their business.

Nine out of 10 of those polled said the cost of energy was likely to influence their response to climate change.

  26. I would like to share the topic about yoga. I had read the article about the 'Yoga for Emotional Balance'.
If you have ever been in a situation where you feel tense, stressed, or unable to calm down, you have probably experienced the value of taking a few big, deep breaths. This is an everyday example of how yoga can dramatically shift our unhealthy, unsupportive emotions into constructive and helpful ones, and how it can help us have happy, content lives.

Yoga can help many symptoms of depression and bipolar disorder, including mood swings, fear, anxiety, tension, and lethargy. One way yoga helps is to release energetic blockages that are called granthis in Sanskrit. These are "knots" that form at the navel region, the seat of personal power; the heart center, the seat of the emotional body, and the throat, the seat of self-expression.

When we release these blockages, our physical and emotional layers open and energy flows freely. This energy, called prana, is the essential life-force of all beings. When prana flows freely through the body, we feel vital and healthy; we reconnect with others and become a part of the world.

This sequence of yoga poses and breathwork is designed to help you release your blockages, to untie your knots. Doing this sequence regularly can bring into your life a glimpse into our connection with universal energy and its abiding, supporting role in our well-being. By opening your body and centering your mind, you can balance the ups and downs of bipolar mood swings and change anxiety to calmness, sadness to happiness, and lethargy to vitality. You can glimpse your connection with universal energy and find its abiding, supporting role in your well-being.

  29. Here are ten things you should avoid to find happiness in life:

    1. Trying to please everybody

This is a major pitfall. Often we are afraid of negative things people may say about us that we end up trying to please everybody. But that’s a vain attempt. No matter how good you try, you will never be able to please everyone. You will just end up frustrated. You’d better focus on the right people than wasting your energy on the wrong people.

    2. Being greedy

We need money to live, but being obsessed with money will never give us happiness. At most, it will only give us short-term pleasure.

To find true happiness you must learn to be content with your life. Be grateful for what you have and count your blessings. While you may think you don’t have enough, the fact is you have more financially than most other people in the world.

    3. Being jealous

It could be difficult to be genuinely happy when someone becomes more successful than you. In such situation, it’s easy to become jealous.

Why does it happen? I believe one main cause is comparing yourself with others. When you compare yourself with others, there is a good chance that you will be either proud (when you are above) or jealous (when you are below). But you should realize that you have your own race to run. You are unique; you have your own call. The best thing you can do is to be your best and meet your call.

    4. Not forgiving

Forgiveness is an important key to happiness. When you don’t forgive, you carry a burden in your heart. Some people are so accustomed to carrying the burden that they no longer feel it. But these people don’t know how much joy and happiness they leave on the table because of it.

One thing to note: not only should you forgive others, you should also forgive yourself. Perhaps you have made mistakes in the past that you can’t forgive yourself for. But realize that no one is perfect. Everyone makes mistakes so forgive yourself and start anew.

    5. Neglecting your passions

What makes you excited in life? Everyone has passion. In fact, I believe that everyone has multiple passions. Spending time in your passions will undoubtedly give you happiness since you are doing what you are hardwired to do. Neglecting your passions, on the other hand, will make you live below your full potential.

    6. Being opportunistic

You must seek opportunity but you shouldn’t be opportunistic. If you just jump into anything that looks interesting, you won’t have the consistency to follow your true calling. Your happiness will be a function of the situation and you may ride an emotional roller coaster.
Instead of being opportunistic, try to think strategically about your life. Think long term about how you want your life to be. Have a vision and be consistent with it.

    7. Only thinking about yourself

This is also a major pitfall that hinders us from finding happiness. We might think that the more we spend our time on meeting our needs and wants the happier we will be. That’s not true. To the contrary, the more you think about yourself the more likely it is that you will be disappointed. Why? Because the more you think about yourself the more you have to lose. The probability that something will disappoint you increases.

    8. Ignoring your conscience

Perhaps deep down in your heart you know that something is the right thing to do but you ignore it. The little whisper in your heart is essential to find happiness. It’s your conscience and it’s telling you what is right to do. Unfortunately, often our rational mind creates a lot of excuses not to follow the conscience. It takes practice to follow your conscience. I still fail here and there, but I’m learning.

    9. Being idle

You may know what is right to do and want to do it, but if you don’t actually do it, it won’t do you any good. Do what you should do and don’t procrastinate.

    10. Not accepting yourself

Perhaps there are some things you don’t like about yourself. You might want to be taller, richer, or have different background.

Whatever that is, there is nothing you can do about it. So, instead of worrying about it, you’d better accept it and see it in a positive way. What you think is disadvantage could actually be your advantage. For instance, your financial success will be more inspiring if you come from a poor background than if you come from a rich one.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Be persistent - It was found that happiness, like all good things in life, is not easy to achieve. Happiness takes work. You should remember, however, that if you do activities that fit well with your interests and your personality they will seem less like work and more like play.
Know you can become happier - The researchers in this study found that “if people do not want to become happier, do not believe it is possible, or are not willing to invest the energy, then their happiness level is unlikely to change.”
Be spontaneous - In psychology there is a phenomenon known as hedonic adaptation. It means that the amount of happiness you can extract from an activity gradually diminishes. To forestall this, try not to make the activities you do regularized. Instead, do them as you feel like it, and do it all at once; gorge on the activities that make you happy, don’t hold back!
Embrace variety - Another essential way to fight hedonic adaptation is to make your activities new and novel by changing things about them such as where, when, and with who you do these activities. Be on the look out as well for other kinds of variation you can add.

  31. Can bananas cure depression?
Apples are great, but you might want to change your mantra to "a banana a day." Did you know that they can help with this major health issue...
    ****
Eat a banana, get happy, according to Dr. Caroline Longmore, author of The Serotonin Secret. She says depression could be blamed on lack of serotonin, the "happy hormone," and that you can boost your body's serotonin levels by eating foods rich in the amino acid tryptophan like cottage cheese, turkey--and bananas! She recommends eating at least four bananas a week.

For me it is a funny fact. However we should eat more fruits to maintain a healthy life.

    Cause
Nonmelanoma skin cancer is usually caused by overexposure to the sun and its ultraviolet (UV) rays. Overexposure to UV rays can result from:

Having severe sunburn and blistering, especially during childhood.
Spending a lot of time in the sun over many years.
Using tanning beds or sunlamps, which are artificial sources of UV rays.
Other possible causes of skin cancer include repeated exposure to X-rays, certain chemicals (such as arsenic, coal tar, creosote), and radioactive substances (such as radium). Skin cancer may also be caused by ionizing radiation treatments for skin conditions such as psoriasis or acne.

  35. Act Wisely

Man must know how to use his youth, wealth and knowledge at the proper time and place and in the proper way for his own benefits as well as for others. If he misused his privilege, it will only cause his down-fall. “Man must be strong enough to know when he is weak, brave enough to encounter fear, proud and unbending in honest defeat, humble and gentle in victory.”
Some people have blessings of sudden wealth through chance or inheritance. But not many are endowed with the wisdom to protect, conserve or put in to good use. Anything that is not earned through the sweat of one’s brow tends to be squandered through abuse.
