  2. When is the Best Time to Shop?

Shopping is a favorite pastime for many people, and it is something that you can do all year round. However, the different seasons of the year will dictate what kinds of things people will buy. Then again, buying certain things at a time when they are in high demand may not necessarily be a good idea.

    Buy clothes during off-season
Basically, buying fashion trends as they are released means that you have to pay more for your clothes. As such, those who wish to save should buy off season.

Kids' accessories should be bought at end of the season sales
Your kids' back to school shopping should be done around late September, long after school has started. You are sure to get the best rates in school shoes, bags, and uniforms during this month.

Buy food products according to the holidays
The best time to buy your groceries is when the stores are overstocked. This is the time when the rates of groceries are the lowest.

So, when is your time for shopping? be smart..

  3. How Many Times a Week Should You Exercise to Get Stronger and Leaner Body

Many people seem to think, that you should workout everyday or at least five times a week to get leaner and stronger. This isn't true, exercising too much might even lead to over-training. Your need to give your body stimulus to get muscle growth and to lose fat off your body, in English you need to exercise. Your body should still have enough time to recover from previous exercises. Exercising too often doesn't give your body enough time to rebuild and ready itself to the next training session. Then again, training only once a week won’t give enough stimulus.

So, what is good training frequency which will get you the best results? There is no straight forward answer for this, since everybody is a little different. Basically, exercising 3 - 4 times a week is generally an ideal amount of exercise. This will get enough stimuli to your body, but still prevents from getting overstrained. One exercise session doesn't need to last for 2 hours, in fact exercising too long in one session will get you again over-training, which will do more harm than anything good. Keep your workouts intense and aim for 40 minutes - 60 minutes. If your workouts take less time than 40 minutes, that's ok too, you just need to make sure that your workouts are intense enough for your goals. The sorter the exercise the more you should emphasize on working out those big muscle areas, with basic exercises like squats, dead lifts, bench-press, etc. I also recommend you to leave your exercises to the very end.

There are different people and different things suit for them. Basics and for beginning 3-4 times a week at the gym and 45 - 60 minutes of exercise is enough. After a while you can start to try different things with your gained experiences and to find out what frequency suits the best for you.

Author of this article and sites such as How to get a bigger butt has over 15 years of experience in different sports, including 7 years of martial-arts and over 10 years of weightlifting.

In my opinion, suitability exercise can help us to get a healthy body. But if too much exercises, it will affect our health. So we should manager our exercise in a week to get a good health.

  4. Hair Loss a Social Phobia

Hair loss has been a parameter that most men will experience one day, but most men are now experiencing this at an earlier age then usual. When hair loss used to occur in your mid 40s or 50s we are seeing it occur on more and more young men of an age range of about 20, the reasons behind this is yet to be discovered but it can be down to lifestyles, stress and genetics.

An average male will produce around 100,000 hair follicles in a lifetime, this being said only an average of 100 strands should be lost in a day. People that are suffering with premature hair loss lose around 500 strands a day. Nowadays receding hair lines are some what classed as normal as it will eventually occur in every man around the age of late 20s.

Some psychological affects that baldness or hair loss may have on some people can be very extreme, from anxiety, depression and social phobia, some people are know to actually give up with life due to hair loss, it gives them no motivation and no push, they are afraid to go out to get a job so in the long run not only there hair will suffer, but also there social life. Although this being said there are a lot of men now that find baldness a comfort, they see it as a trend of current society and are much more than happy to live with it.

Treatments have been somewhat vague over the past few years with a lot of products not meeting the demand of people that are trying to regain there hair. Although there are a lot of products that do have positive effects there is also a lot of products which are just a waste of time. There are now operations which can be performed to replace lost hair, the way that this is achieved is that the surgeons will take hair from somewhere else on your body and implant it onto your bald area, so it will be abit like a seed when implemented it is said that these hair follicles will start to grow again.

The best natural advice for hair loss would be to cut down on products such as alcohol and tobacco and eat healthily, it would also be a good idea to to exercise regularly to get your hormones and air in your body circulating again and to cut down on stress or worries that you are experiencing. Another aspect to maybe stop using are the hair products such as gel, moose and hair spray although some products may be advertised as containing vitamins there is no good that can come out of using these.

  5. Depression - Types, Causes and Symptoms

Major Depressive Disorder - commonly referred as depression - is an illness that involves the body, mood, and thoughts. It is not to be confused with a passing blue mood - depression can have severe repercussions in the person's way of life. It affects a person's appetite, sleep, and work. It affects relationships and how a person feels about himself. Depression is not a sign of weakness, or a condition that can be willed or wished away. One cannot merely change things in a snap - sans treatment, symptoms can last for days, weeks, months, or even years.

    Types of Depression

Depressive Disorder comes in different forms. Three of the most common types of depressive disorders are major depression, dysthymia, and bipolar disorder - it is instructive to note that within these types are variations in the number of symptoms, persistence, and how severe they are.

Major Depression is evidenced by a combination of symptoms that interfere with one's ability to live a normal, productive life. A disabling episode of major depression may occur only once, but it more commonly occurs several times in a person's lifetime.

Dysthymia is a less severe type, but nonetheless keeps one from functioning well. It involves chronic, long-term symptoms that do not disable and leaves one feeling miserable. People suffering dysthymia also experience major depressive episodes some time in their lives.

Bipolar disorder, also called manic-depressive disorder, is not nearly as prevalent as the other forms of depression. It is characterized by cyclical mood changes - severe highs (mania) and severe lows (depression). Mood variations are sometimes rapid and dramatic, but most often are gradual. An individual in the depressed cycle can have any or all of the symptoms of a depressive disorder, and when in the manic cycle, the individual may be overactive and have a great deal of energy. Mania often affects judgment, social behavior, and thinking - which lead to embarrassment and serious problems. Left untreated, mania may worsen into a psychotic state.

    Symptoms of Depression

    - Appetite and/or weight loss or overeating and weight gain
    - Constant feelings of emptiness, irritability, sadness, or tension
    - Decreased ability to concentrate or make decisions
    - Decreased energy
    - Difficulty in remembering
    - Fatigue
    - Feelings of guilt, helplessness, hopelessness, pessimism, and worthlessness
    - Insomnia, early-morning awakening
    - Loss of interest or pleasure in activities and hobbies that were enjoyed before, including sex
    - Oversleeping
    - Persistent physical symptoms that do not respond to treatment, like chronic pain, digestive disorders, headaches
    - Restlessness
    - Thoughts of death or suicide, sometimes with suicide attempts

    Causes of Depression

Depression has no singular cause - it is often a result of a combination of factors. Whatever the cause, depression is not a mere state of mind - it is correlated to physical changes in the brain, and connected to an imbalance of a particular chemical that transports signals in your brain and nerves. These are the neurotransmitters.

    Factors Involved in Depression

Family: Genetics play a crucial role in depression. It can run in the family for generations, suggesting that a biological vulnerability can be inherited - often the case in bipolar disorder. Major depression seem to occur generation after generation in some families, but it can also occur in people who have no family history of the illness. Inherited or not, major depressive disorders are often associated with variations in brain function and brain structure.

Pessimistic personality: People with low self-esteem, those who consistently view themselves and the world with negative thoughts, or those who are readily overwhelmed by stress are at a higher risk of becoming depressed. These traits may actually be caused by dysthymia.

Physical conditions: Researches through the years have shown that physical changes in the body can be accompanied by mental changes as well. Serious medical conditions like cancer, heart disease, and HIV can contribute to depression, in part because of the physical stress and weakness they bring. Depression can worsen medical conditions, weakening the immune system and making pain more unbearable. The patient loses desire to care for himself, which leads to more complication. In some cases, depression is a side effect of medications used to treat medical conditions.

Stress and Trauma: Major changes in life - breakup from a relationship, death of a loved one, financial problems - can bring depression. Even positive changes like graduating from school getting married, or starting a new job can cause depression.

  6. ALZHEIMER

I just read a article about Alzheimer.I would like to share some information with you all.
Alzheimer's is an incurable dementia often characterised by increasing confusion, memory loss, apathy and, often, deep depression in its early stages. The disease usually begins after 60, as a subtle impairment of mental functions, especially short term memory, and afflicting women more often than men. The risk goes up with age; it is unusual for younger people to get it. It can last for 3 to 20 years, the average duration being 8 years.

The actual cause or causes of the onset of Alzheimer's disease remains unknown. An excessive intake of aluminium was once thought to be a high risk factor but this has never been confirmed, and it is now accepted that brain damage due to aluminium toxicity is different from that associated with Alzheimer's. Large population studies in the USA have resulted in interesting speculation on environmental factors that might cause the development of Alzheimer's disease. It has been observed that the risk factors are similar to those for atherosclerosis and heart disease, which suggests that free radicals and inflammation might be responsible for damage to the brain.

In my opinion,we need to be patient and take care to the person who have this disease. The alzheimer patient will memory loss.

  7. The Advantages Of Cycling

An article about the advantages of cycling.
In a day and age when global warming and climate change is a much debated subject, many people have turned to bikes as their preferred method of transport. Those who wish to do their bit for the environment are opting to cycle to work rather than drive or get public transport. This is just one of the many benefits of bikes, you can get from here to there without worrying about the effect that it is having on the environment.

Another great advantage of bikes is the fact that if you do choose to go to work this way, you know that you won't get stuck in any traffic. Most busy city centres now have cycle lanes so even if there is heavy congestion, you don't have to get stuck in the middle of it. As a result it is a much more relaxing way of commuting to and from work and you don't have to worry about hours of extra time being added onto your journey if you get stuck in major traffic.

One of the best things about bikes is the fact that cycling is a great method of exercise. On top of all the other benefits they offer you can stay fit at the same time. Simply cycling to and from work or to the shops everyday is enough to keep you happy and healthy.

With there being so many advantages of bikes it is hardly surprising that more and more people are investing in them. Their benefits are endless and they can last for many years and have many different uses.

In my opinion, cycling not only can make us healty and also can help us to save the environment.

  8. HOW TO BE HAPPY : GET TRUE HAPPINESS

Feel Good with these Self Help Tools from Positive Psychology

Recent findings from the research studies of positive psychology scientists are useful to anyone searching for how to be happy. The following 15 self help tools can help you feel good and succeed in your quest for true happiness.

    Positive Psychology Findings
With the advent of research applying rigorous scientific studies to the question of how to be happy, positive psychologists have concluded that anyone can move toward greater happiness. These self help tools for being happier are easy to use, cost nothing, and offer benefits well beyond the effort required to implement them.

Happiness Expectations: It is unrealistic to expect continuous joy as everyone will have emotional highs and lows in their lives. Both highs and lows are temporary; scientists find that we tend to return to a natural happiness set point. Each individual's set point is not a fixed point, but a range, which is variable based on voluntary activities such as those following.

Gratitude: Each day, recall three things that occurred for which you are grateful. Savor these memories and why you appreciate them. As well, form the periodic habit of expressing gratitude to someone. If at all possible, express it in person.

Core Strengths: We are at our best, and happiest, when using our strengths. Find new ways to incorporate your strengths in daily activities.

Altruism: Generosity feels good. The giver and receiver benefit and studies show generosity is good for your health, too.
Goals: Pursue goals that are meaningful and pleasurable. The process of pursuing meaningful goals may provide more happiness than the accomplishment.

Relationships: Close, nurturing, equitable, and intimate relationships are a significant contributor to happiness, good health, and long life.

Meaning: Pursue a life of meaning, which is a personal determination; one size doesn't fit all
Learning: Grow, learn new skills, and face new challenges to maintain energy, direction, and purpose.

Go with the Flow: Engaging in activities that are challenging, meaningful, and utilize core strengths and skills results in flow, where time stands still and your focus is entirely on the task at hand. Flow activities are extremely satisfying.

Work Activities: Maximize your work satisfaction by using a variety of skills, do a complete task, and pick tasks that are significant.
Calling: The most satisfying work feels like a calling and uses strengths, is meaningful, and pleasurable.

Expressive Writing: Write about what is important in your life, what you've learned, what has shaped your life, what you value, and what you'd like to pass on to others.
Exercise: Physical exercise stimulates the production of brain chemicals producing good feelings. Exercise also strengthens the immune system and heightens one's confidence and self esteem.

Positive Reminiscence: Refrain from dwelling on negative past events; they're past. Recall and savor the positive memories you have. Play them over and over, enjoying the positive feelings the memories provide.

Forgiveness: Forgiveness is a gift to yourself, allowing you to put aside the hurt, bad memories, and negative feelings associated with recalling wrongs done to you. Holding anger and other negative feelings serves to submerse you in the negative event over and over again. Forgive to forget and move toward true happiness.

As a conclusion, we must be happy and let the sadness go away from us....

  10. The Red River is a North American river. Originating at the confluence of the Bois de Sioux and Otter Tail rivers in the United States, it flows northward through the Red River Valley and forms the border between the U.S. states of Minnesota and North Dakota before continuing into Manitoba, Canada. It empties into Lake Winnipeg, whose waters join the world's oceans in Hudson Bay via the Nelson River.

The Red River flows through several urban areas along its path including Fargo-Moorhead and Greater Grand Forks in the United States and Winnipeg in Canada. The Red is about 885 kilometres (550 miles) long of which about 635 kilometres (395 miles) are in the United States and about 255 kilometres (155 miles) are in Canada. The river falls 70 metres (230 ft) on its trip to Lake Winnipeg where it spreads into the vast deltaic wetland known as Netley Marsh.

In the United States, the Red River is sometimes called the Red River of the North, to distinguish it from the Red River that is a tributary of the Mississippi River, which forms part of the border between Texas and Oklahoma. Long a highway for trade, the Red has been designated as a Canadian Heritage River.

  12. Today I wish to share on online gambling. Online gambling was banned in the USA to fight against the possible negative impact it could have on the Society, but how about our country? Is it online gambling really bring a lot of problem and impact to our country? Actually, everyone talks about the negative impact of online gambling, but they are not talking about the negative impact of banning online gambling.
A reason for banning online casinos was to make sure that underage children were not using their parents credit cards to gamble online, but besides the fact that most online casinos did everything possible to ensure to verify the age of the account holder before allowing any gambling to occur, but by banning it you are only stopping the law abiding casinos from taking bets and not the less reputable online casinos. They will use third party account like PayPal ore Click2pay which provide a loophole in the new law.
By regulating online gambling the government would know exactly who was running the casino to make sure they were running it honestly and within all the laws, and it would help make sure that the criminal element did not get rich and gain power a second time in the history of the USA because of a bad lawmaking decision.
Another reason given for the ban of online gambling was to help protect against a rise in problem gamblers from have casino gaming in your home 24 hours a day, but no proof has ever been found that shows that people who would normally not be inclined to go to a casino and gamble would decide to do it just because it was now in their homes.
The facts actually show a steady rate of people with gambling problems and growing at the same rate it has been growing for over 25 years.
But this to be a pattern the government seems to always make, it is much like the war on drugs. Last time I checked thee was still a drug problem in this country even though drugs are illegal, yet in countries like Holland where the use of soft drugs like hash and grass are legal the number people with drug problems is much lower per capita then in the USA. This is because the money that is brought in the form of taxes from these sales goes to fund the public schools where they properly educate kids on the negative effects of these drugs, so most of the people who smoke are tourists and not the locals.
Lastly, I want to mention that I strictly do not agree on online gambling. I just wish to give my opinion about the banning of online gambling.

  14. What is Rock?

Essentially "Rock" is an eclectic mix of a prominent vocal melody accompanied by guitar, drums, and bass. Several bands use an innovative mix of piano, synthesizers, saxophone, flute, mandolin and sitar to heady effect. The earliest known roots of rock music as a unique genre of music branching out from rock ‘n’ roll date back to the early-to-mid 1960s. Over the next 5 decades since then, rock has been propelled into being one of the most popular and best-selling branches of commercial music by now legendary artists.

With the wave of popularity of rock ‘n’ roll, made immensely popular by the Beatles, two British bands – Pink Floyd and Black Sabbath, in completely contrasting styles, founded the sub-genres of progressive rock and heavy metal. Pink Floyd explored a more psychedelic sound combining electric guitars and keyboards to create amazing sound variations while Black Sabbath delved into a darker, heavier sound emphasizing a slow tempo and tuned down guitars.

The next few years saw an explosion in the rock genres in general giving rise to varied genres discussed in this article along with other less known genres. As you will be able to tell many genres are very hard to define and others overlap with each other making clear lines between genres impossible to draw.

    Rock Classifications
Numerous branches of rock have been born – rock ‘n’ roll, soft rock, hard rock, progressive rock, metal, alternative, grunge... each of which have several subtle variations. e.g heavy metal has branched off into progressive, death, acid, dark ambient, power, symphonic, Goth…the list goes on.

so i would like to dedicate this quotes to all of my friends despite the fact that they might be all aroud the world..

Best Friends means different things to different people. Some insist that you can have only one best friend. Others assert that they have best friends for different aspects of their personalities. Whatever the precise definition, your best friend is the person who gets you. They understand who you are and what you are saying. The greatest distance cannot separate best friends. You will always feel a kinship with them, and be able to instantly continue the friendship even after not talking for many years.

  16. Global Warming

Glaciers are melting, sea levels are rising, cloud forests are drying, and wildlife is scrambling to keep pace. It's becoming clear that humans have caused most of the past century's warming by releasing heat-trapping gases as we power our modern lives. Called greenhouse gases, their levels are higher now than in the last 650,000 years.

We call the result global warming, but it is causing a set of changes to the Earth's climate, or long-term weather patterns, that varies from place to place. As the Earth spins each day, the new heat swirls with it, picking up moisture over the oceans, rising here, settling there. It's changing the rhythms of climate that all living things have come to rely upon.

What will we do to slow this warming? How will we cope with the changes we've already set into motion? While we struggle to figure it all out, the face of the Earth as we know it—coasts, forests, farms and snow-capped mountains—hangs in the balance.

  17. Greenhouse effect

The "greenhouse effect" is the warming that happens when certain gases in Earth's atmosphere trap heat. These gases let in light but keep heat from escaping, like the glass walls of a greenhouse.

First, sunlight shines onto the Earth's surface, where it is absorbed and then radiates back into the atmosphere as heat. In the atmosphere, “greenhouse” gases trap some of this heat, and the rest escapes into space. The more greenhouse gases are in the atmosphere, the more heat gets trapped.

Scientists have known about the greenhouse effect since 1824, when Joseph Fourier calculated that the Earth would be much colder if it had no atmosphere. This greenhouse effect is what keeps the Earth's climate livable. Without it, the Earth's surface would be an average of about 60 degrees Fahrenheit cooler. In 1895, the Swedish chemist Svante Arrhenius discovered that humans could enhance the greenhouse effect by making carbon dioxide, a greenhouse gas. He kicked off 100 years of climate research that has given us a sophisticated understanding of global warming.

Levels of greenhouse gases (GHGs) have gone up and down over the Earth's history, but they have been fairly constant for the past few thousand years. Global average temperatures have stayed fairly constant over that time as well, until recently. Through the burning of fossil fuels and other GHG emissions, humans are enhancing the greenhouse effect and warming Earth.

Scientists often use the term "climate change" instead of global warming. This is because as the Earth's average temperature climbs, winds and ocean currents move heat around the globe in ways that can cool some areas, warm others, and change the amount of rain and snow falling. As a result, the climate changes differently in different areas.

  18. Weight loss tips

1.Sleeping:The less you sleep the more likely you will gain more weight, it was even found that sleeping for 6 hours instead of 8 could increase your weight significantly.

2.Emotional eating: Depression, stress, anxiety or fear can be the main reason you are eating more instead of hunger. These emotions can be temporary fixed by the chemicals inside the food we eat and that’s why some people developed the habit of eating whenever they feel bad (see binge eating). In such a case its these emotions that needs to be dealt with and not your eating habits.

3.The amount of food in your plate: The amount of food in your plate affects directly the amount of food you eat, in my book The ultimate guide to weight loss I explained how filling your plate completely with food can make you feel full much earlier. On the other hand, if you ate some of this then a little of that, you are likely to eat much more.

4.The order of eating: Proteins can make you feel full before you even start eating other types of food. Always start by eating meat, chicken or whatever proteins you plan to eat that day, after you finish it completely move on to the other types of food and you will find that you are eating less.

5.Alcohol : In addition to all the tremendous health issues alcohol causes, it stimulates your appetite to eat more and thus it increases your weight. Avoid alcohol for a better health and body shape.

  20. Tick, tick,tick...hey student, it is time to gear up and start preparing for the upcoming examination, semester as well as term.

Last-minute studying has been a common practise among students. They burn the midnight oil getting ready for the exam. This leads to high level of stress. Many students experience blackout during exams due to lack of sleep. It is the right time to tackle these issues and be on top of the game.

Managing time effectively is the only solution to this never-ending problem. This will enable them to be more productive, well organised and discipline.Time and tide wait for none. One has got to make the best of all the time one has.

Time management is of great significant as it helps utilise the time available in an effective manner. It is not just enough to be busy, the question is what is one busy with?? One has to identify goals, the most important of which is undoubtly to do well academically. For this, one needs a definite plan.

Why a wedding ring is alawys put on the fourth finger?
Pls follow the below step, really god made this miracle( this is from a Chinese excerpt)

centre finger bend and put the rest 4 fingers tips to tips

Try to open your thumb, the thumbs represent parents, it can be open cause all humans do go thru sickness and die. Which is why our parents will leave us one day
Pls close up your thumb, then open your second finger, the fingers represent brothers and sisters, they do have their own families which is why they will leave us too

Nevertheless, close up your little finer, try to open your fourth finger which we put our wedding rings on, you will be surprised to find that it cannot be open at all. Because it represent husband and wife, this whole life you will be attached to each other!!!!!

  22. Choose Perfume for Yourself

The division of fragrances according to hair and skin types is no longer valid mainly because of changes in our everyday diet which has become varied. Therefore, every woman may choose perfume she likes and wants to wear following her intuition, taste and personality. The only test she should do to find out if she likes the scent or not is to spray a bit of perfume on her skin.

Do not decide to buy the best-known brand of perfume or the one which is "on top" at the moment. This may not be a good idea at all.

To make a good choice, you should go to the perfumery early in the morning when you can smell things better. However, if you have a cold or you are tired, you should put off your visit till another day.

Try perfume on clean, non-perfumed skin. During one test you should try only up to three different fragrances because your nose will not be able to recognize more scents.

Do not smell the top of the bottle or its cap because the scent you smell is not the real one. You may smell an odor of alcohol instead. You should not also try perfume on the piece of paper but on your skin.

When you spray perfume on your skin for the first time, wait for about thirty seconds until alcohol evaporates. Then you will be able to find out what the top notes of perfume are. The top notes are highly volatile, evaporate quickly and do not last very long. The Base notes have a profound influence on the blend. They are very long lasting (come out 20 minutes to 2 hours later) and at the same time, fix other essences.

If you have already decides which perfume to choose, buy the smallest bottle of it. The expiring date of perfumes is usually up to three years from the manufacturing date. Even if you do not use your perfumes often, they may change.

Different fragrances are suitable for different age groups or for different occasions. For example, for a young woman green scents are more suitable than oriental ones. But for the evening meetings or dates you should wear heavier, more sensuous types rather then light ones which, in turn, are suitable for daylight use.

  23. What's next in auto safety?
Innovative advances will soon make driving safer than ever..

Electronic stability control (ESC), which selectively applies brakes to one or more wheels when a vehicle is about to slide out of control, is the most important safety advance since the safety belt. Recent studies have found that ESC could save as many as 10,000 lives a year if all cars had the system. Beginning in 2012, the federal government will require that all new cars come equipped with ESC.

On a smaller scale, backup cameras, another safety system that is becoming more common, can now help prevent accidents with children or objects hidden in a vehicle’s rear blind zone.

The industry has gone a long way to make cars that can protect passengers in a crash, so now the trend is toward creating technologies for crash prevention. This will dictate the types of new safety systems we will see in mainstream cars. Most of the following have already turned up in limited use and the others appear to be just over the horizon.

Next-generation stability control. New ESC systems will go further in managing vehicle dynamics. One system, ESC II, is designed to provide slight steering input, together with selective braking and throttle reduction, to maintain control. Rear-wheel steering control through an active multilink suspension is also being looked at to work with next-generation ESC, providing optimum stability.

Curtain air bags. Usually mounted in a vehicle's headliner above the windows, curtain air bags deploy across the windows in a crash to protect passengers' heads in both front and rear seats. They also help shield occupants from flying debris, and can keep people from being ejected during a rollover. The better head-protection systems offer a safety-canopy system, which automatically deploys the side-curtain air bags if the system detects the vehicle beginning to roll over.

Pre-collision systems. Currently found on a few vehicles from Mercedes-Benz and Lexus, these sense a collision before it happens and take action to warn the driver and maximize the safety of all the car’s occupants. It detects vehicles in front and can sound an alarm and display warning lights. The system then takes preventive steps such as fully charging the brakes and air bags, closing windows, adjusting seat positions for optimal air-bag effectiveness, and activating safety-belt pretensioners. An advanced pre-collision system in the Lexus LS600h L will detect pedestrians and animals on the road as well as other vehicles. And a camera will watch if the driver is not looking ahead at potential road hazards and sound an alert to get his attention if it senses an impending collision.

Adaptive cruise control. In addition to maintaining a set speed on the highway, this system can automatically maintain a safe distance from the vehicle ahead. It does this by using radar to monitor vehicles in front, and operates the brakes or throttle to slow or accelerate the car as needed. We tested adaptive cruise control in a few vehicles and some of our drivers found the systems to be annoyingly abrupt in their operation. By 2009, Volvo will have a system that works in stop-and-go traffic and will be able to bring a car to a complete stop if necessary.

  24. DISASTER
A disaster is the tragedy of a natural or man-made hazard (a hazard is a situation which poses a level of threat to life, health, property, or environment) that negatively affects society or environment.

In contemporary academia, disasters are seen as the consequence of inappropriately managed risk. These risks are the product of hazards and vulnerability. Hazards that strike in areas with low vulnerability are not considered a disaster, as is the case in uninhabited regions.[1]

Developing countries suffer the greatest costs when a disaster hits – more than 95 percent of all deaths caused by disasters occur in developing countries, and losses due to natural disasters are 20 times greater (as a percentage of GDP) in developing countries than in industrialized countries.[2]

A disaster can be defined as any tragic event that may involve at least one victim of circumstance, such as an accident, fire, terrorist attack, or explosion.

A natural disaster is the consequence when a natural hazard (e.g., volcanic eruption or earthquake) affects humans. Human vulnerability, caused by the lack of appropriate emergency management, leads to financial, environmental, or human impact. The resulting loss depends on the capacity of the population to support or resist the disaster: their resilience. This understanding is concentrated in the formulation: "disasters occur when hazards meet vulnerability". A natural hazard will hence never result in a natural disaster in areas without vulnerability, e.g., strong earthquakes in uninhabited areas. The term natural has consequently been disputed because the events simply are not hazards or disasters without human involvement.

Disasters caused by human action, negligence, error, or involving the failure of a system are called human-made disasters. Human-made disasters are in turn categorized as technological or sociological. Technological disasters are the results of failure of technology, such as engineering failures, transport disasters, or environmental disasters. Sociological disasters have a strong human motive, such as criminal acts, stampedes, riots, and war.

  25. FITNESS

Physical fitness is used in two close meanings: general fitness (a state of health and well-being) and specific fitness (a task-oriented definition based on the ability to perform specific aspects of sports or occupations).

Physical fitness is the functioning of the heart, blood vessels, lungs, and muscles at optimum efficiency. In previous years, fitness was defined as the capacity to carry out the day’s activities without undue fatigue. Automation increased leisure time, and changes in lifestyles following the industrial revolution meant this criterion was no longer sufficient. Optimum efficiency is the key. Physical fitness is now defined as the body’s ability to function efficiently and effectively in work and leisure activities, to be healthy, to resist hypokinetic diseases, and to meet emergency situations. Fitness can also be divided into five categories: aerobic fitness, muscular strength, muscular endurance, flexibility, and body composition.

Many sources also cite mental and emotional health as an important part of overall fitness. This is often presented in textbooks as a triangle made up of three sub-sections, which represent physical, emotional, and mental fitness. Hence, one may be physically fit but may still suffer from a mental illness or have emotional problems. The "ideal triangle" is balanced in all areas. Physical fitness can also prevent or treat many chronic health conditions brought on by unhealthy lifestyle or aging, among other implications. Working out can also help people sleep better. To stay healthy it's important to participate in physical activity.

  26. I love drawing and with my skill, I can earn some money by making comics for some local magazine. But rather than drawing, being able to sketch with confidence is a truly great feeling, but sometimes it can be really tough, especially when you are just starting to learn how to draw!

Maybe you have said this yourself in the past, but whenever I hear someone say that they 'can't,' or that they 'hard' - it's like fingernails on a chalkboard! It simply isn't true! Like anything else in life - you're not going to be great the first time give it a try, but with a little practice you will really begin to amaze yourself.

Don't let me scare you though! Learning how to draw won't be nearly as hard as you may think it is, and I'll be here to help make your transition from stick-man artist into a modern day Leonardo da Vinci as painless as possible.

  27. VEGETARIAN

Vegetarianism is the practice of a diet that excludes meat (including game and slaughter by-products), fish (including shellfish and other sea animals) and poultry. There are several variants of the diet, some of which also exclude eggs and/or some products produced from animal labour such as dairy products and honey.

The vegan diet is a form of vegetarianism which excludes all animal products from the diet, such as meat, poultry, fish, dairy products, eggs, and honey. Those who practice veganism for ethical reasons often exclude animal products from their diet as part of a larger practice of abstaining from the use of animals for any purpose (e.g. leather, fur, etc.), often out of support for animal rights.

Most vegetarians consume dairy products, and many eat eggs. Lacto-vegetarianism includes dairy products but excludes eggs, ovo-vegetarianism includes eggs but not dairy, and lacto-ovo vegetarianism includes both eggs and dairy products.

The reasons for choosing vegetarianism may be related to morality, religion, culture, ethics, aesthetics, environment, society, economy, politics, taste, or health. A generic term for both vegetarianism and veganism, as well as for similar diets, is "plant-based diets". Properly planned vegetarian diets have been found to satisfy the nutritional needs for all stages of life, and large-scale studies have shown vegetarianism to significantly lower risks of cancer, ischaemic heart disease, and other diseases.

  28. The Art of HTTP

Any software student that sill do not heard about HTTP? If you're the first timer. Then let me tell you that HTTP stands for hyper text transfer protocol. HTTP is a application protocol that uses to transfer and retrieve file.Requires two end device which is the host and client. So what is the great thing about HTTP.Well unlike FTP (file transfer protocol) it do not have graphic interface.Secondly FTP could only set password and the login stage only. While HTTP could easily configure for access and security. Other then that both protocol transfer file at a amazing speed.Depends on certain condition.Like bandwidth , computer performance and such file transfer could go from 200KBps until 2Mbps.Even though HTTP do have great advantage. But simple task we will still use FTP.For example , submission of HOT labsheet by using FILEZILLA.
Or even transfer file between Kolej Kediaman in UMP would benefit the student a lot.

  29. being a respectful person is what i planned to be.im sure you want to be one too.here are some tips for you..

    VALUE AGE AND ABILITY

Older people have been through a lot than you, give them the respect they deserve. Also give respect to your teachers and professors. They made a great sacrifice to come back and teach. You get a lot of knowledge and wisdom by being respectful of others.

    DO UNTO OTHERS

Whatever you do not like, do not do to others. Demand to be treated with respect by others when you accord them respect. Everything in life is a two-way street.

REALIZE THAT YOU MUST ALWAYS LEARN

You have so much to learn in life. You do not know it all. You need to be respectful of those who know to access the knowledge you need. Make yourself a delight in every company.

    CONTROL YOURSELF

Because you do not know everything, make every effort not to mercurial at every provocation. Level-headedness pays in the long run. A respectful person always keeps his enemies guessing.

    BE ASSERTIVE

State what you want in life and stick with it. Just because you are respectful does not mean people can run over you. Do not hesitate to let disrespectful people know your displeasure. If someone does not deserve your respect, don't give it.

  32. The first evidence that millions of tons of a greenhouse gas 20 times more potent than carbon dioxide is being released into the atmosphere from beneath the Arctic seabed has been discovered by scientists.

The Independent has been passed details of preliminary findings suggesting that massive deposits of sub-sea methane are bubbling to the surface as the Arctic region becomes warmer and its ice retreats.

Underground stores of methane are important because scientists believe their sudden release has in the past been responsible for rapid increases in global temperatures, dramatic changes to the climate, and even the mass extinction of species. Scientists aboard a research ship that has sailed the entire length of Russia's northern coast have discovered intense concentrations of methane – sometimes at up to 100 times background levels – over several areas covering thousands of square miles of the Siberian continental shelf.

They have warned that this is likely to be linked with the rapid warming that the region has experienced in recent years.

We need to take action to protect our earth.

  35. What can someone do so they won't smoke again?

The hardest part about quitting is breaking the habits that go along with it. For example, if you are used to smoking with your friends when you are hanging out together, it will be hard to hang around with them and not smoke. The best way to keep from smoking is to not put yourself in situations with people who smoke and to stay away from places where you are used to smoking.

1)Avoid places and situations where you normally smoke.

2)Spend a few days or a week away from your friends who smoke.

3)Go to non-smoking places with your friends, like the mall or the movies.

4)Don't drink alcohol. Alcohol will likely lower your willpower and increase your chances of having a cigarette.

5)If your family smokes, ask them to not smoke in your room.

6)Exercise. It will take your mind off smoking, make you feel better, and keep you healthy.

7)Plan activities during the first couple of weeks to take your mind off smoking. It will be easier to quit if you keep yourself busy.

8)Buy lots of carrots, celery, and other healthy foods so you can munch instead of smoke.

A long time ago, there lived an old kind poet. One evening, the rain streamed down from heaven, while the old poet sat warm and comfortable in his

chimney-corner, where the fire blazed and the roasting apple hissed.

Suddenly, someone knocking the door and crying for help. The old poet quickly open the door and there was a half naked child. The old poet let the wet

little boy to go inside his warm little hut and help him to dry up his body. And served him with roasted apples and boiled him some wine.

Soon, the little boy recovered and said, "My name is Cupid", and he took his bow in his hand and shot and arrow at the old poet, right into his heart.

The poor poet lay on the floor and wept. "How naughty a boy Cupid is! I will tell all children about him, not to play with him!"

But, Cupid is forever following people. And if you aks your grandparents, they will only tell you that "He is a naughty boy, that Cupid."

1)Plan Before You Execute - Unless you are one very efficient and productive individual, you’ll find that there are times where we sit down to do a project and then we just wander off into doing something completely different.

2)Work in the Quietest Time Possible - Three key areas that had been noticed that were the quietest included:

-In the mornings before most people arrived

  40. Sometimes, its hard for us to find a good idea.
This is related to the article that I've read which is how to find a good idea.

    1. Capture all ideas

A basic way to increase the quantity of ideas is simply to avoid losing ideas. Don’t let an idea slip by once it comes to you. Whenever you get an idea, capture it as soon as possible. Write it down or record it with a recording device. Read 4 Simple Ways to Never Lose Your Ideas for more tips about it.

    2. Don’t filter your ideas

By definition, filtering your ideas will reduce the number of ideas you have. Even if an idea doesn’t look good, let it sit for now. Later you might see it from a different perspective which shows the usefulness of the idea. If it doesn’t, you can always trash it later.

    3. Find more ideas than you need

If you need five ideas, find ten. If you need ten ideas, find twenty. Finding more ideas than you need is good because you can then choose the best out of them.

    4. Produce ideas consistently

Keep producing ideas regardless of your mood. If you are a blogger, keep writing posts. If you are a designer, keep creating new designs. If you are a programmer, keep writing codes. Allocate time for it and make it a habit.

    5. Set an idea quota

Related to the previous point, one good way to ensure that you keep producing ideas is to set a target for your output. A writer, for instance, may aim to write at least 1000 words every day. A designer may aim to create one new design each week. Setting a target pushes you to be more productive.

    6. Avoid perfectionism

One thing that may hinder you from producing a lot of ideas is perfectionism. If it takes one week to take an idea to 80% quality, it may take one month to take it to 90% and one year to take it to 100%. This is the law of diminishing returns at work. Perfectionism could make you spend the whole year on just one idea while you can actually produce 51 other ideas. It’s better to produce a lot of ideas first, test them, and only then devote more resources to improve the winners.

    1. Be grateful

Being grateful is perhaps the most important attitude you must have to live a happy life. No matter how bad the situations around you are, you can always choose to respond positively. Being grateful makes you look at the world through positive lens and energizes your life. Don’t take things for granted. Be grateful even for simple things.

    2. Follow your heart

Nothing can replace following your heart. People may tell you about the right thing to do or what they expect from you, but at the end, it’s your life. If you don’t live your own life, who will?

So slow down and listen to your heart. What does it tell you about your career? What does it tell you about your relationships? Listen to your heart and find the courage to follow it.

    3. Dream big

How far you go is very much determined by how big your dream is. Having a small dream is like putting yourself inside a small box. You might end up living far below your fullest potential.

Of course, it’s not easy to dream big. Perhaps your failures in the past scare you. Perhaps you don’t think you have what it takes to achieve your dream. But don’t let negativity push you down. Be dare to dream big.

    4. Good is the worst enemy of best

When you reach a position that is good enough, you may become comfortable and think that it’s no longer worth it to continue fighting for the best. That’s why good is the worst enemy of best: it makes you stop before you achieve your fullest potential. It distracts you from pursuing your best life. Be grateful for what you have but understand that you still have a lot more in front of you.

    5. Run your own race

Your race is different from other people’s races. Realizing this is liberating because it frees you from envy. When you hear that other people are successful, you can sincerely be grateful since you are not in competition with them. At the same time, it also pushes you to live your best life. Why? Because you are competing against yourself.

    6. Focus on what you can control

Sometimes you might have bad experiences that you can’t do anything about. If that happened, don’t dwell on it. You are wasting a lot of mental energy if you do. Move on and focus instead on things you can control. Applying this frees you from a lot of stress and worries.

One application of this principle is on changing people. Which one do you think you can change: yourself or other people? You can’t change other people but you can change yourself. So focus on changing yourself.

    7. Failure is your friend

Befriending failure makes you dare to try new things. It puts you on the path of inventions, breakthroughs, and innovations. Failure is often the price of progress.

    8. Relationships are your greatest treasures

At the end, what do you want to achieve in life? Will it be meaningful to have a lot of money if you have broken relationships? Will it be meaningful to be famous if you lose love? I don’t think so. Your relationships are your greatest treasures. Understand it before it’s too late.

  42. TSUNAMI
The term tsunami comes from the Japanese, meaning "harbor" (tsu) and "wave" (nami). (For the plural, one can either follow ordinary English practice and add an s, or use an invariable plural as in the Japanese) Tsunami are common throughout Japanese history; approximately 195 events in Japan have been recorded.

Tsunami are sometimes referred to as tidal waves. In recent years, this term has fallen out of favor, especially in the scientific community, because tsunami actually have nothing to do with tides. The once-popular term derives from their most common appearance, which is that of an extraordinarily high tidal bore. Tsunami and tides both produce waves of water that move inland, but in the case of tsunami the inland movement of water is much greater and lasts for a longer period, giving the impression of an incredibly high tide.

A tsunami can be generated when converging or destructive plate boundaries abruptly move and vertically displace the overlying water. It is very unlikely that they can form at divergent (constructive) or conservative plate boundaries. This is because constructive or conservative boundaries do not generally disturb the vertical displacement of the water column. Subduction zone related earthquakes generate the majority of all tsunamis.

  43. How to keep yourself young and healthy? This article show us how to keep ourself young and healthy.

The aging process is for the greater part no mystery anymore. It consists for a great part of daily damages done on the macroscopic, tissue, cellular and genetic levels. These add up as the years are passing. These damages have specific causes like oxidating agents, sun beams, mechanical wear and tear, psychological stress, lack of some nutritional components and too much of others, like fat.

The factors causing aging, also causes other diseases like cancer and coronary heart disease. Both aging and these diseases can in great extend be prevented with the knowledge possessed today, and the damages can in great extend be reversed. The components to achieve this are:

-Adequate daily food containing whole cereals, peas, beans, vegetables, fruit, fish, mushrooms, fouls and seafood, and with just a moderate amount of red meat.

-Just a moderate amount of fat.

-Just a very moderate amount of butter, soy oil, margarine, corn oil and palm oil. A high consumption of these fat sources gives you too much saturated fat and poly-unsaturated omega-6-fat.

-Just a very moderate amount of sugar, refined flour or refined cereals.

-Do not add more salt to the food than you need. Most people consume too much salt.

-Just a moderate consumption of tranquilizers/stimulants as alcohol and caffeine, but in moderate amounts these contribute to slow down the aging process.

    -No smoking or tobacco usage.

-Supplements of specific nutritional components like vitamins, minerals, lecithin and some essential fatty acids.

-Adequate training that both gives a muscular load, work up your condition and stretches out your body. To stretch out, yoga-exercises are ideal.

-Adequate rest and stress-reduction. Daily meditation is a method of achieving this. .

-Supplements of specific anti-aging agents like anti-oxidants or human growth hormone.

-Use of specific anti-aging agents to apply upon the skin surface.

-To protect the skin against excessive sun exposure.

A person having a poor digestion, doing high performance sport or being exposed to a high amount of environmental stressors, may need more than a person in an average situation.

  44. NUCLEAR BOMB
A nuclear weapon is an explosive device that derives its destructive force from nuclear reactions, either fission or a combination of fission and fusion. Both reactions release vast quantities of energy from relatively small amounts of matter; a modern thermonuclear weapon weighing little more than a thousand kilograms can produce an explosion comparable to the detonation of more than a billion kilograms of conventional high explosive. Even small nuclear devices can devastate a city. Nuclear weapons are considered weapons of mass destruction, and their use and control has been a major aspect of international policy since their debut.

There are two basic types of nuclear weapon. The first type produces its explosive energy through nuclear fission reactions alone. Such fission weapons also commonly referred to as atomic bombs or atom bombs (abbreviated as A-bombs), though their energy comes specifically from the nucleus of the atom.

In the history of warfare, only two nuclear weapons have been detonated offensively, both near the end of World War II. The first was detonated on the morning of 6 August 1945, when the United States dropped a uranium gun-type device code-named "Little Boy" on the Japanese city of Hiroshima. The second was detonated three days later when the United States dropped a plutonium implosion-type device code-named "Fat Man" on the city of Nagasaki, Japan. These bombings resulted in the immediate deaths of around 120,000 people (mostly civilians) from injuries sustained from the explosion and acute radiation sickness, and even more deaths from long-term effects of ionizing radiation.

  45. How to Drink More Water

Many health experts will agree that drinking more water will help give you more energy. (Read here from Michelle Schoffro Cook on why you should drink more water.) In celebration of this week's theme on keeping up your energy, here are my personal tricks on drinking more water.

    * Make it a Morning Ritual. I once read in a magazine article that many of us wake up dehydrated, and the first thing you should do before you do anything else is drink two glasses of water. I've now made it a regular morning habit, and it inspires the momentum to continue drinking more for the rest of the day.

    * Add Some Lemon. Back in the early stages when I couldn't stand drinking water, I squeezed lemon juice into my water. At restaurants, I would ask the servers to provide lemon slices with my water--which makes me sound snobby, but most restaurants are willing and expected to provide this service.

    * Keep it In the Clear. When your urine is clear, you are properly hydrated. When your urine is a dark yellow, you are definitely dehydrated.

    * Think of How Pretty You'll Look. I don't know how direct the correlation is between having healthy, glowing skin and drinking a lot of water, but I'm not taking any chances. Whatever psychological trick keeps me hydrated!

    * Do It Like It's Hot. If you're in the mood for a hot drink, drink heated water. Sometimes we just want the psychological pleasure that comes with having a hot mug cupped in our hands than the actual drink itself. Plus, coffee and tea contain caffeine, which is a diuretic and elevates the rate of water being expelled from your body via urination.

    * Drink When You Have a Munchie Attack. Sometimes our hunger is thirst masquerading as fake hunger. Drinking a cup or two of water will make you feel "full."

*Take Baby Steps. Don't expect to go from zero glasses of water to the full 8 glasses overnight. Start with one glass of water in the morning and one glass of water at night, and build your way up from there.

    * Cheap cheap. Water at restaurants are FREE!

    * Always have a full glass of water near you when you are working. It will give you something to mindlessly sip on when you are brainstorming or need something to do with your hands.

In my opinion, water is important for human body. So we must drink more water.

  46. Compassionate Love

As long as there is one single fellow creature whom you can console by your kind words, whom you can enliven and cheer by your presence, whom you can help with your worldly possession, however little charity may be, and you are a precious possession to the human race. You should never be disheartened or depressed.
There are many time when those you love do not seem to care for you, and are apt to have a heavy heart. But there is no just cause for dejection. What does anything matter as long as you know that you are full of compassion for your fellow friends? One should never depend on others for one’s happiness. He who expects to secure satisfaction in life from others is worse than the beggar who kneels and cries for his daily bread. (Livings)

  47. How is it treated?
There are two parts to treating asthma. The goals are to:

Control asthma over the long term. To do this, use a daily asthma treatment plan. This is a written plan that tells you which medicine to take. It also helps you track your symptoms and know how well the treatment is working. Many people take controller medicine—usually an inhaled corticosteroid—every day. Taking controller medicine every day helps to reduce the swelling of the airways and prevent attacks. Your doctor will show you how to use your inhaler correctly. This is very important so you get the right amount of medicine to help you breathe better.
Treat asthma attacks when they occur. Use an asthma action plan, which tells you what to do when you have an asthma attack. It helps you identify triggers that can cause your attacks. You use quick-relief medicine, such as albuterol, during an attack.
If you need to use the quick-relief inhaler more often than usual, talk to your doctor. This is a sign that your asthma is not controlled and can cause problems.

Asthma attacks can be life-threatening, but you may be able to prevent them if you follow a plan. Your doctor can teach you the skills you need to use your asthma treatment and action plans.

  48. How can you prevent asthma attacks?
You can prevent some asthma attacks by avoiding those things that cause them. These are called triggers. A trigger can be:

Irritants in the air, such as cigarette smoke or other air pollution. Don't smoke, and try to avoid being around others when they smoke.
Things you are allergic to, such as pet dander, dust mites, cockroaches, or pollen. When you can, avoid those things you are allergic to. It may also help to take certain kinds of allergy medicine.
Exercise. Ask your doctor about using an inhaler before you exercise if this is a trigger for you.
Other things like dry, cold air; an infection; or some medicines, such as aspirin and other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Try not to exercise outside when it is cold and dry. Talk to your doctor about vaccines to prevent some infections, and ask about what medicines you should avoid.
Sometimes you don't know what triggers an asthma attack. This is why it is important to have an asthma action plan that tells you what to do during an attack.

  49. Chronic difficulty getting to sleep or staying asleep can drive people crazy and affect so many aspects of daily life. Although the symptoms vary (snoring, insomnia, or the creepy agony of restless legs syndrome, to name just three afflictions), there are things that everyone who’s looking for a good seven or eight hours should know.

Things like how to use over-the-counter sleep drugs and when to seek prescription meds. Things like the bedtime habits that can sabotage sleep and how to cope if your sleep problems persist.

Yes, You Can Have a Better Night's Sleep

The variety of symptoms is worth exploring, too, because some people aren't aware that the daytime tiredness they feel may be caused by sleep problems they don't even know they have. If you have a sleep problem, you also have company: 40 million Americans toss and turn. Use the guide below and the 10-step map to the left to begin your journey to a better night's sleep.

  50. To accomplish great things, we must dream as well as act.
    Anatole France
    French novelist (1844 - 1924)
    http://www.quotationspage.com/quote/2498.html

Dreaming can bring about the generation and establishment of unique, magnificent and great ideas, this is why we should have some day-dreaming when we crave for ideas or planning to do something spectacular. But that’s just the beginning, one must also act in order to realize the contents of the dream, if not, dreams will still remain as dreams.
