  1. FLOWER..

Today I would like to talk about flower.I believe that every women loves flower. For me certain flowers had specific meanings because the flower selection was limited and people used more symbols and gestures to communicate than words. But today, with so many flower choices, there are no rules and it's the sentiment that gives the gift its meaning. Many people assign their own personal meanings about a flower or color that might remind them of a special event or moment in their lives. It’s actually depend on what they feel, and think .From the origin of a flower’s name to its distinctive characteristics and rich mythology, flowers are
infused with symbolism and meaning. The symbolism of flower colors is steeped in tradition. In fact, every flower color from a deep red rose to a bright yellow offers a rich and meaningful story dating back thousands of years. The flower colors you choose for a bouquet can be as important as the types of flowers used in an arrangement.

For those who are interested in historic meaning of flowers, here are some meanings of them.

GREEN - Synonymous with nature–and the perfect complement to any other bloom–the color green represents health, resilience, good fortune and youth. Whether used to throw together a diverse mixture of shapes and hues or as a restful tone-on-tone bouquet, green flowers send a message of optimism and renewal.

YELLOW - There’s a good reason why it can feel all but impossible to refrain from smiling when you spot a bouquet of bright daffodils or a pot filled with sun-drenched chrysanthemums–the color yellow evokes feelings of joy and lightheartedness. Also a symbol of friendship, a bouquet bursting with yellow blooms sends a message of new beginnings and happiness.

ORANGE - There’s nothing bashful about the color orange–its message is clear and blatantly proud. Symbolizing energy, enthusiasm, and warmth, an arrangement of blooms in this vibrant color conveys confidence, satisfaction and a passion for life.

PURPLE - With its origins tied to royalty and ceremony, purple flowers represent dignity, pride and success. Whether grouped alone in a bold range of rich hues or mixed in with other colors to provide depth and contrast, an arrangement filled with purple blooms represents accomplishment and admiration.

PINK - Think pink and you think of grace, gentility, and happiness. Regardless of the shape of the flower – from the tight, small buds of a pink garden rose to the delicate, open petals of a pink caellia in full bloom – pink blossoms convey youth, innocence, and joy.

RED - There’s an indisputable energy to the color red – an energy that has the power to transform an otherwise unassuming flower into the essence of desire, strength, and passionate love. With beauty, courage and heat as its symbolism, it’s no surprise that a bouquet filled with rich, red blooms knows no restraint.

WHITE - Often associated with innocence, humility, and reverence, white flowers evoke simple beauty. Whether they take their shape as the luxurious, silk petals of fragrant gardenias, the small, white bells of a lily of the valley, or the quiet drama of a dozen white roses, fresh floral arrangement dominated by white blossoms conveys modesty and elegance.

  2. ON THE NATUE OF LOVE...

    Love is personal
    Love is real
Love is the most tangible thing you’ll ever know

    You lose yourself into love
but then you are never truly lost

You find oneness with the one you love
but in the process learn to discover yourself more

    You are strengthened in love
    You are defined in love

You can never be a better you apart from love
For only love unites in such a way
as to make the beautiful even more beautiful
and to make each lover stronger and purer than he or she could ever be alone

In love, you are never alone
for you are one with your beloved
you are one without being lost into the empty chasm of your own self

    Love
is not realizing that you are all there is
    Love
is realizing that you are not alone.

  3. What do you think?

In the days when an ice cream sundae cost much less, a 10-year-old boy entered a hotel coffee shop and sat at a table. A waitress put a glass of water in front of him. "How much is an ice cream sundae?" he asked.

    "Fifty cents," replied the waitress.

The little boy pulled his hand out of his pocket and studied the coins in it. "Well, how much is a plain dish of ice cream?" he inquired. By now, more people were waiting for a table and the waitress was growing impatient.

    "Thirty-five cents," she brusquely replied.

The little boy again counted his coins. "I'll have the plain ice cream," he said.

The waitress brought the ice cream, put the bill on the table and walked away. The boy finished the ice cream, paid the cashier and left. When the waitress came back, she began to cry as she wiped down the table. There, placed neatly beside the empty dish, were two nickels and five pennies. You see, he couldn't have the sundae, because he had to have enough left to leave her a tip.

    Comment:

As the conclusion, we cannot judge a person by his or her appearance because it doesn't show anything. The most important is attitude.Besides, we also should not blame people on what they had done before. There must be a reason why people do so because everything we do must be a reason.

  4. Comment for the post 'what do you think' from Izyan Bt Ismail.

Ww really cannot judge people by looking at their appearance. This is because human being can be diveded into inner beauty and physical beauty. Sometimees a people who are ugly or small, maybe his or her actually is a tolerance or gentility people. Maybe for those who have physical beauty are actually good looking at outside but already rotten in inside. So, please remember that, we cannot just judge peolpe from their appearances or physical beauty.

    A friend who is true
Is a friend to the end
    Someone with whom
    You can confide with

    They will pick you up
    When you are feeling down
    With them there's no gaming
    Or playing around

    They're loyal and honest
    Harbor no ill will
    Stand by your side
    Through thick and thin

    So if you are lucky
    To have such a friend
    Do cherish them please
    To the end

i dedicated this poem to all my friends who think that i'm is their friend...

  7. The incredible talking cat

Do cats talk? Are people carry on conversations with their pets just plain silly or serious?

It's easy to put simple answers to these questions of animal intelligence, but the truth is a bit more complicated. In some ways cats at least, they meow when we ask them if they want dinner, or if they're ready for a walk, or..."Who's coming? Who's coming?" at the sound of the doorbell. On some level, that's communication as close to talking as you can get, isn't it?

let's talk cat for awhile, since they aren't as easy to predict what they”ll do as dogs.

We love our pets because they bring us affection and entertainment, not because we think they're smart. They are oftentimes only as smart as we ask them to be. When your kitty is curled up on your lap, aren't you just glad they're there? It only matters that they look at you with those adoring eyes that clearly say, "When are you going to feed me? It's four o'clock already."

So, what is your cat saying to you, right now?

  8. DID YOU KNOW THAT MUSHROOM COULD GIVES MANY BENEFIT TO US?

They safeguard against cancer. Mushrooms are rich in disease fighting phytochemicals, and eating them regularly wil make us at lower risk of breast cancer in studies of Chinese and Korean women. Mushrooms also prevent prostate cancer cells from multiplying in mice and might do the same in men.

They supply hard to get nutrients. One medium portobello mushroom supplies 21 percent of the recommended daily intake of selenium and one third our need of copper; it also has as much potassium as a medium-size banana. Other varieties are just as rich in minerals, a recent analysis found. What's more, mushrooms retain their nutrients when stir-fried, grilled, or microwaved.

They help us cut calories. Researchers estimate that if sub mushrooms for ground meat in one meal every week, we can lose five pounds in a year. Just don't sabotage this fringe benefit by preparing mushrooms with loads of butter. Instead, toss them into a nonstick pan that's been lightly sprayed with oil, then sauté on low heat until they soften.

  10. How many servings of vegetables have you had today? One? None? How about fruit?

All fruits and vegetables have health benefits to offer. But some are especially good for your arteries. Among the best for cholesterol:

Avocados. Although this is one of the few fruits high in fat, it's mainly mono-unsaturated fat. Several studies find that eating one avocado a day can lower our LDL as much 17 percent while raising our HDL. Try them in salads and sandwiches or mashed with a bit of lemon juice, onion, and chopped tomato as a topping for baked potatoes. Just don't go overboard; one avocado has about 340 calories.

Garlic. Garlic can lower cholesterol modestly as well as prevent blood from becoming sticky and forming dangerous clots. The compound most studies focus on, allicin, is the same one that gives garlic its distinctive odor. In one analysis of five trials in which participants received either garlic supplements or a placebo, the authors concluded that you could lower your total cholesterol about 9 percent with the equivalent of 1 1/2 to 3 cloves of garlic daily for two to six months.

What if you don't like garlic, also known as the "stinking rose"? Can you get the same benefits from a garlic pill? Maybe, if you choose the right one. A study by ConsumerLab.com found that 7 of 14 garlic supplements tested contained less of the active ingredient (allicin) than researchers say is necessary for a therapeutic effect. Those doses include 3,600 to 5,400 milligrams of allicin, while the doses in the products tested ranged from 400 to 6,500 milligrams. The products that met or exceeded recommended doses included Garlinase 4000, Nutrilite Garlic Heart Care Formula Dietary Supplement, Spring Valley Enteric Coated Odor-Free Garlic 1,200 milligrams equivalent per tablet, and Kyolic Aged Garlic Extract.

Oranges. Think of your morning orange juice as cholesterol medicine in a glass. After drinking three glasses of orange juice a day for four weeks, 25 participants in a Canadian trial increased their HDL levels 21 percent and lowered their LDL/HDL ratio 16 percent. Of course, if you're watching your calorie intake, three glasses of juice is a lot; you'll probably want to stick to a glass or two a day.

Prunes. Prunes (dried plums) contain a special kind of soluble fiber called pectin, which forms a gel in your intestines that sops up cholesterol before it hits your bloodstream. Blend cooked prunes with water into a puree that can replace oils and fats in baking, add dried prunes to stews for a delicious sweetness, or chop and sprinkle over salads, yogurt, cottage cheese, or cereal.

  12. HOW TO MAKE MONEY

1.Use the law of supply and demand to your advantage
Most of us are familiar with the law of supply and demand--the more there is of something, the cheaper it is; conversely, the rarer the product or service, the more expensive it is. However, other than when we get to a toy store before sunrise to get on line for the latest fad toy that kids can't get enough of, we don't really apply the law of supply and demand to our own lives--particularly our careers.

    2.Recognize that time is money.
This critical piece of advice is attributed to Benjamin Franklin, who was an accomplished American inventor, journalist, printer, diplomat, and statesman--the ultimate multitasker.

    3.Jack up your prices.
If you're providing a skill, service or product that is in high demand and low supply, and you're making the most of your time, you should be making good money. Unfortunately, there are many people who are too humble or fearful to demand that they get paid accordingly. It's the pushovers in life who get taken advantage of and exploited, so if you think you might be one of them, learn how to stop being a people pleaser.

    4.Be proactive
Remember Murphy's Law: "Whatever can go wrong will go wrong." Make plans, complete with as many calculations as possible, then anticipate everything that can go wrong. Then make contingency or backup plans for each scenario. Don't leave anything to luck.

  13. THE SEVEN DANGEROUS

DON'T ACT THE 7 ACTIONS BELOW
    AFTER YOU HAVE A MEAL
    * Don't smoke- Experiment from experts proves that smoking a cigarette after meal is comparable to smoking 10 cigarettes (chances of cancer is higher).
    * Don't eat fruits immediately - Immediately eating fruits after meals will cause stomach to be bloated with air. Therefore take fruit 1-2 hr after meal or 1hr before meal.
    * Don't drink tea - Because tea leaves contain a high content of acid. This substance will cause the Protein content in the food we consume to be hardened thus difficult to digest.
    * Don't loosen your belt - Loosening the belt after a meal will easily cause the intestine to be twisted & blocked.
    * Don't bathe - Bathing after meal will cause the increase of blood flow to the hands, legs & body thus the amount of blood around the stomach will therefore decrease. This will weaken the digestive system in our stomach.
    * Don't walk about - People always say that after a meal walk a hundred steps and you will live till 99. In actual fact this is not true. Walking will cause the digestive system to be unable to absorb the nutrition from the food we intake.
    * Don't sleep immediately - The food we intake will not be able to digest properly. Thus will lead to gastric & infection in our intestine.

These are 7 proven-to-be-harmful acts after having meals. Some of which are pretty obvious and are according to popular beliefs but a few, especially the second and the second last, must have raised the eyebrows of people. We have always been told about the benefits of going for a walk and eating fruits after meals, but not the hazards of doing so in close proximity with our meals. Therefore, parents, teachers, and also ‘health speech’ givers, please be aware of that and provide correct information to children, students and the public in order for us to have a community of healthy citizens.

  14. 5 Ways to Give Yourself Time Right Now

For a healthy mind and body, find time to de-stress. Here are some tips to help you unwind and rejuvenate.

    1. Have a Good Moan. Step into a quiet room (best if you are out of earshot of colleagues, police or the family dog) and inhale. As you breathe out, let out a long, low sigh. Moan! Do it three times. You will feel so much "lighter" for it.

    2. Thank-you Notes. Take a piece of paper and scribble down five things that come to mind when you ask yourself: "What am I grateful for in my life?" It might be your new set of wheels, or your faithful mutt, or the fact that you didn't get a parking ticket last night. This exercise hits the "positive switch" instantly.

    3. Clear the Clutter. Tidy your desk, organise your files (including computer backups), clear out a cupboard, weed the garden. A sense of satisfaction is a form of stress relief.

    4. iPod It. Crawl under your desk if you have to. Put in your earphones and play your all-time favourite song - just pick an uplifting, energising tune or a serene, inspiring piece. Stuck for ideas? Recently, 50 contemporary song-writers were invited to vote for their top three favourite songs. Winners included "God Only Knows" by The Beach Boys, "Strawberry Fields
Forever" by The Beatles and "Strange Fruit" by Billie Holiday.

    5. Breathe in Nature. Several essential oils have powerful calming effects. Keep a bottle of lavender, sandalwood or chamomile oil handy and sniff as needed. Or dab a few drops of the oils on a hanky and carry it with you.

  15. Most Dangerous Volcanoes in the World

There are many volcanoes in the world. Volcanoes are a natural way that our Earth and other planes use in order to cool off. All planets are warm in their mantles. Sometimes this heat inside melts rocks and these hot rocks - magma - combining with gasses break through the crust and namely in such a way happens an eruption. Lava flows out of a volcano top. It’s really dangerous but nevertheless, eruptions hold a lot of appeal to many tourists. Some volcanoes erupt only once or twice but some erupt many times and seem never stop.
There is no strict and commonly approved classification of volcanoes, but I will try give a list of some most dangerous volcanoes as to their explosive history and closeness to populated locality.

    * Mt Vesuvius in Italy

I think you hardly find a person hasn’t heard about Mt Vesuvius. Mount Vesuvius belongs to one of the most dangerous volcanoes in the world. It’s eruption cycle is more than 20 years, the last eruption occurred in 1994. Millions of people live near it. Namely eruption of this volcano destroyed Pompei in 79 AD.

    * Popocatepetl in Mexico

It is the highest active volcano in the Northern Hemisphere. In 2001 its flows travelled 8 km from the volcano itself and caused glacial melting. In 1996 its eruption killed climbers.

    * Merapi in Indonesia

Merapi contains active lava, that adores producing pyroclastic flows (travell 6-10 km from the volcano and velocity of the flow is 110 km/hour). Eruptions happen once in 3-5 years. This volcano is active for already 10,000 years.

    * Unzen in Japan

Unzen is not a single volcano, it is a huge complex of 3 volcanoes. It is dangerous and has already taken lives of many people and destroyed 2,000 buildings.

    * Galeras in Colombia

Really dangerous one with a lot of eruptions. Took lives of tourists and scientists. Galeras is a volcano complex.

  16. Why do we shout?

I heard this meaningful story from my course mate last week. Let us go through the storyline first.

One day, a professor asked his students 'Why do we SHOUT instead of speak when we are ANGRY?' All the students thought for a while. One answered 'Because we lost our cool. That's why we SHOUT. The professor asked again, 'But the person is just right next to you, why can't we talk softly but have to SHOUT?' Everyone gave their opinions but none was accepted by the professor. Lastly, the professor explained that 'When we are ANGRY, our hearts drift apart. To mask the DISTANCE we felt, we instinctively SHOUT instead of speak so the other party can hear us.'' But as we SHOUT, we get ANGRIER. And we felt we drift apart further. So we SHOUT even louder...'

'It is the opposite when we are in love. Not only that we do not shout, we whisper into each other ears. Why?''This is because our hearts are very close, almost never apart. As our love deepens, we reach a state of communication where there is no need for words.'' We understand each other well enough just by exchanging look,' concluded the professor.

In this busy life, we maybe feel annoyed when someone keeps on bother you. Sometimes, we are in bad mood because of many works or get a bad result in the exam. Some of us also feel depressed when cannot handle their matters well. In these moments, we will feel angry easily even though face a very small problem. Then, our friends will be the unlucky person. We will simply shout and say something bad at them. Some friends will understand our feeling and advise us. But, if our words are like a sharp sword stab into their heart, they will never forgive us.

From this story, I learn that shouting is a bad action. Sometimes, shouting at anyone to make her or him to understand the situation clearly. At that moment, it is effective to close the distance between hearts. On other hand, some shouting will cause the distance further. Therefore, our friendship will be spoiled in a short moment because of words. In conclusion, although we are in angry condition, please think of your words before saying out to your precious friends. Besides, you all should try to avoid the action shouting which many people dislike it. Hope you all always have a good day.

  18. Mastering public speaking timing is essential if you want to progress as a speaker. Why is mastering public speaking timing important?

Your timing is part of how you present yourself. It speaks of your preparation, your concern for the audience and even your respect for the other speakers you may be sharing the podium with.

The last speaker of the program said, "I have just a little more. I don’t think anyone will mind if I go over time." His little was about 30 minutes.

You are probably thinking, why not get up and walk out? It came down to which would be more rude, to leave or to be late. Because a speaker is rude does not mean we have the right to be rude back. There is no Double O Zero designation in the world of public speaking where any of us are 'Licensed to be Rude.' If you are a public speaker, even sitting in the audience, people look to you as an example.

The first he felt that his time was more important than the time of the audience. Otherwise why would he take the liberty to run over time.

The second problem was he felt his speaking was so important or so good that the audience would not mind if he went over time.

The the third problem was he felt we needed "all" the information he had so diligently researched. It was more information than could be shared in the allotted time. So he tried to cram it down our brains.

However you look at it, he did not address the audience needs and speak for our benefit.

Finally he had no regard for the other speakers who did stay on time and showed respect for the audience.

So, if you think of going over time on any of your speeches, remember this article. Not only could you be rude, possibly bore and even frustrate your audience, you may have an article written about your "I" problem for prosperity.

Oh yes, and keep your public speaking timing on time. Do it for yourself, the other speakers, but especially for your audience.

  19. HOW TO MAKE A VASE OUT OF PLASTIC BOTTLE?
First, mark and cut the smooth middle portion of the bottle to give an even edge approx 7.5 to 8cm (3") above where you want the fluted rim to be.second, measure and make straight, evenly spaced cuts all the way around the bottle. Cut the segments in half and then cut each of those in half to make even, thin strips.
third, carefully press and fold all the strips outward to make a level edge all the way around.
fourth, press the bottle upside down on a flat surface to ensure an even edge. Then, weave the tip of a strip over the next one and under the next two. Fold and crease it so that the tip is at the place shown here by the arrow.
Next, fold and crease the next one the same way, but weave this one over two and under one.Fold the third strip and weave the same as the first one. Finally, continue around in this pattern until the last three and tuck each one under the next until woven in completely.

  20. do you like cupcake?

A cupcake (the common US, Canadian, and Australian term) or fairy cake (the common British term), is a small cake designed to serve one person, frequently baked in a small, thin paper cup. As with larger cakes, frosting and other cake decorations, such as sprinkles, are common on cupcakes.

A standard cupcake uses the same basic ingredients as standard-sized cakes: butter, sugar, eggs, and flour. Nearly any recipe that is suitable for a layer cake can be used to bake cupcakes. Because their small size is more efficient for heat conduction, cupcakes bake much faster than layer cakes.

So because of small size its look so cute and nowadays we can get many types of it and in variable design..for me, I like it…..

  21. Tips to Create a Sleep Haven
Don't just fall into bed. Use these guidelines to make your bedroom a place of utter respite.
To lull you to sleep, you need to make your bedroom a sensuous haven, adding all the accoutrements of comfort and serenity in a beautiful setting.

    1. Buy a New Mattress. Don't even try to comparison shop. Every mattress in every store has a different name. And every owner of every mattress shop says that the mattresses in his shop are different and better than every other mattress shop on the planet. The truth is that the right mattress for you is the one that you try in your home for 30 days. Find a mattress shop that offers that option, pick out the mattress that you and your partner think is the most comfortable, make sure it has a guarantee, and flash your plastic. Don't worry about coils and foam and luxury toppers. The mattress that allows you to sink into a deep, natural sleep and wake up in the morning without aches and pains is the one you want. And there's only one way to find out which mattress that is.

    2. Bask in Comfort.Buy silky, natural tree-fiber sheets in a soothing color. An exquisitely soft cashmere throw for the bed. A hypoallergenic down comforter. A sunshine silk duvet cover. Pillows, pillows, and more pillows. A roll for behind your neck, a wedge for behind your back, a full-body pillow for when your bed partner is away. Hypoallergenic, of course. And don't forget the teddy bear. No girl can sleep without one.

    3. Spritz. A quick spritz of soothing lavender water on your pillows before bed will help calm your exhausted mind.

    4. Chill Before Bed. Lower the temperature of your bedroom before you climb into bed, says Becky Wang-Cheng, M.D., a medical director at Kettering Medical Center in Ohio. Lower temperatures signal your body it's time to sleep. If your bed partner objects, just tell him to bundle up. (FOR THEM WHO HAVES AIR-CONDITION)

    5. Soak. A hot bath also helps you lower your body's temperature. Yeah, your temperature goes up while you're in the bath, but your body's response to the heat will be to drop your temperature way down low.

    6. Schedule a Massage. "Massage interrupts the neurohormones connected with sleeplessness and almost manually imposes sleep on you," says therapist Belleruth Naparstek, M.S.

    7. Get Mean. Women aren't used to nurturing themselves or putting themselves first. But sleep is so necessary to health and happiness that you have to do it. If your partner's snoring wakes you up, help him get treatment. If he refuses to cooperate, put him in another room, too.

    8. Shut the Drapes. You sleep better in the dark. If your eyelids flutter open as you move from one stage of sleep to another, even streetlights or a full moon can wake you up.

    9. Ditch the Night-Lights. You can also get rid of the clock radios with lighted displays. It turns out your brain can misinterpret even such dim lights and wonder if it should wake you up. "Dark inhibits the brain's biological clock," says Dr. Yan-Go. It tells your brain it's time to sleep.

    10. Pull on Socks. There's no solid explanation for it, but studies have found that wearing socks to bed helps you sleep. It may be that warming your feet and legs allows your internal body temperature to drop.

    11. Ignore the clock. Turn your clock's face or digital readout away so you can't see it. We wake slightly throughout the night. A glimpse of your clock and the realization that you have to get up soon is enough to jolt you out of sleep and keep you out.

    MY COMMENT :

Sleep haven is important for everyone. Good sleep will make our body feel refreshed to begin our routine early in the morning or to make any work. Sometimes ,when I woke up, I feel so tired and want to continue my sleep again even though I’m already sleep enough. I think this is because of I do not get enough good sleep. Actually, Good sleep is better than long time sleep.

Now bend slowly to the right and hold for a count of five. Return to the starting position. Then gently bend to the left and hold for a count of five.

    2. Forward Bend
    Step A
Bring your arms back down to your sides and pause. Now bend your knees slightly. Place your feet about six inches apart. Then bend slowly at the waist until your chest is resting on your thighs. Let your arms dangle in front of you and hold the position for about 20 seconds.

    Step B
Slowly straighten your legs as much as feels comfortable. Keep your upper body and arms relaxed and in roughly the same position, and hold again for about 20 seconds. If you need a little extra support, place your hands on a 12-inch stool or block of wood.

    3. Downward-Facing Dog
    Step A
Straighten back up, then get down on all fours, hands and knees on the floor. Tuck your toes under so the balls of your feet are on the ground. Contracting your abdominal muscles, slowly lift your hips to form an upside-down V with your body. Allow your knees to bend slightly and your heels to rise off the floor.

    Step B
Keeping your back straight, gently straighten your knees and press your heels toward the floor. Hold for 20 seconds.

    4. Quad Stretch
Now slowly lower yourself to the floor and lie on your left side, your left arm supporting your head. With your right hand, grasp your right ankle. Gently pull your right foot toward your buttocks, feeling the muscles in the front of your leg stretch. Your right knee should be in line with your left one. Hold for 20 seconds, then roll over and repeat with your left foot.

    5. Cobra
Return to resting position, face down on the floor with your legs together and the tops of your feet touching the mat or carpet. Place your hands on either side of your head, palms down and shoulder-width apart. Press up, raising your shoulders and resting on your forearms. Gaze forward or slightly up. Feel your lower back stretch and relax. Hold for 20 seconds.

    6. Child's Pose
Return to the starting position of the cobra. Now slowly press up and back, bending at the knees and waist until you are sitting on the backs of your heels. The tops of your feet should be flat against the floor and your arms stretched flat on the floor in front of you. Lower your shoulders and your forehead to the ground, and hold for 20 seconds.

    7. Hip Stretch
    Step A
Roll over onto your back. Roll your pelvis to the right, gently lowering your right knee as close to the floor as you can. Hold for 20 seconds. Then repeat on the left side.

    8. Corpse Pose
Slowly slide your feet out until your legs are flat on the floor. With your arms about 45 degrees from your side, palms up, and your legs about one to two feet apart, let your feet fall away from each other. Close your eyes and relax. Concentrate on releasing tension from the center of your body outward to your fingertips and toes.

    MY COMMENT:

For me, stretching is crucial in human daily life, especially for those who busy working. Actually, stretching does not take long time but the benefits give long lasting impact to our life. Besides, Stretching keeps muscles and joints limber. It's also an excellent way to relax our self and release tension. Why don’t we try it and make it as a habit before we start any of our work.

  23. Defuse Stress for a More Enjoyable Day

These proven approaches to stress management work. Give several a try.

    1. Embrace the number one truth about stress: Only you create it. Stress isn't defined as a large workload, a difficult child, or a rise in terrorism. Stress is your physical and mental reaction to these external stimuli. Remember the truism about alcoholism? The one that says admitting you are an alcoholic is more than 50 percent of the cure? The same is true for stress: Embracing the fact that stress is your reaction to external stimuli -- and not the stimuli themselves -- is half the battle toward managing it. You can't change a crazy world. But you can learn to handle it with humor, humility, and hope. Not coincidentally, virtually every stress-relief method that follows is about how to improve your reaction to external factors.

    2. Give your partner a hug every day before work. It's so simple, yet so often overlooked when you're trying to make your lunch, find your shoes and keys, and get on the highway before rush-hour gridlock. Research from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill found that the few seconds it takes to hug your partner can help you remain calm as chaos unfolds around you.

    3. Buy yourself flowers once a week and display them prominently on your desk. Women who sat near a bouquet of flowers were more relaxed during a typing assignment than women who didn't have flowers, according to a Kansas State University study of 90 women.

    4. Take a deep breath and then try to see yourself in someone else's shoes. As for your dimwit boss and others who seem to try to annoy you, know that they are probably experiencing just as much inner turmoil as they are creating around them, says Jay Winner, M.D., a family physician, stress-management teacher in Santa Barbara, California, and author of Stress Management Made Simple: Effective Ways to Beat Stress for Better Health. "When people are rude, they are usually suffering in one way or another," says Dr. Winner.

    5. Twice a day, breathe deeply for three to five minutes. As you breathe, focus your mind on your breath and push all other distracting thoughts from your consciousness, suggests Rocco Lo Bosco, a massage therapist, yoga instructor, and author of Buddha Wept.

    6. Walk the stress off. Stress hormones prepare your body for a physical response. A healthy way to respond to a rush of stress, then, is to get physical. Go for a brisk 15-minute walk and burn off your nervous energy. Use the time to think through the issue and return to a positive, peaceful frame of mind.

    7. When you get out of bed in the morning, spend a few minutes consciously sensing your body from toes to head. Focus on the feet first. Notice how they feel from the inside out and mentally relax them. Then move upward to your ankles, then to your knees, on up your legs to your torso, chest, upper back, neck, head, and face. As you get used to the technique, you can bring your awareness inside your body and focus on relaxing each body part whenever you start to feel stressed, suggests Lo Bosco.

    SOURCE: READER DIGEST

    MY COMMENT:

Stress can be relatively easy to manage. All it takes is a mental commitment to it and an open mind. Old-fashioned thinkers scoff at things like deep breathing, positive thinking, and guided imagery. Some are also put off by the openness and public display of emotions involved in some stress-relief methods. But these are scientifically proven to work, doctors endorse and recommend them, and the benefits are fast and real.

  24. HOW TO CONTROL THE TEMPER TANTRUMS AMONG CHILDREN??

The best way to deal with temper tantrums is to avoid the children in the first place, whenever possible. Here are some strategies that may help:

    >>>Make sure your child isn't acting up simply because he or she isn't getting enough attention. To a child, negative attention (a parent's response to a tantrum) is better than no attention at all. Try to establish a habit of catching your child being good ("time in"), which means rewarding your little one with attention for positive behavior.
    >>>Try to give toddlers some control over little things. This may fulfill the need for independence and ward off tantrums. Offer minor choices such as "Do you want orange juice or apple juice?" or "Do you want to brush your teeth before or after taking a bath?" This way, you aren't asking "Do you want to brush your teeth now?" — which inevitably will be answered "no."
    >>>Keep off-limits objects out of sight and out of reach to make struggles less likely to develop over them. Obviously, this isn't always possible, especially outside of the home where the environment can't be controlled.
    >>>Distract your child. Take advantage of your little one's short attention span by offering a replacement for the coveted object or beginning a new activity to replace the frustrating or forbidden one. Or simply change the environment. Take your toddler outside or inside or move to a different room.
    >>>Set the stage for success when kids are playing or trying to master a new task. Offer age-appropriate toys and games. Also, start with something simple before moving on to more challenging tasks.
    >>>Consider the request carefully when your child wants something. Is it outrageous? Maybe it isn't. Choose your battles; accommodate when you can.
    >>>Know your child's limits. If you know your toddler is tired, it's not the best time to go grocery shopping or try to squeeze in one more errand.

  25. INSOMNIA

Insomnia is a symptom of a sleeping disorder characterized by persistent difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep despite the opportunity. Insomnia is a symptom, not a stand-alone diagnosis or a disease. By definition, insomnia is "difficulty initiating or maintaining sleep, or both" and it may be due to inadequate quality or quantity of sleep. It is typically followed by functional impairment while awake. Insomniacs have been known to complain about being unable to close their eyes or "rest their mind" for more than a few minutes at a time. Both organic and non-organic insomnia constitute a sleep disorder.

Although there are several different degrees of insomnia, three types of insomnia have been clearly identified: transient, acute, and chronic.

    >>>Transient insomnia lasts from days to weeks. It can be caused by another disorder, by changes in the sleep environment, by the timing of sleep, severe depression, or by stress. Its consequences - sleepiness and impaired psychomotor performance - are similar to those of sleep deprivation.
    >>>Acute insomnia is the inability to consistently sleep well for a period of between three weeks to six months.
    >>>Chronic insomnia lasts for years at a time. It can be caused by another disorder, or it can be a primary disorder. Its effects can vary according to its causes. They might include sleepiness, muscular fatigue, hallucinations, and/or mental fatigue; but people with chronic insomnia often show increased alertness. Some people that live with this disorder see things as though they were happening in slow motion, whereas moving objects seem to blend together. Can cause double vision.

  26. Imported goods from Thailand, Indonesia to be MS graded in April 2009

    KOTA BAHARU, KELANTAN, MON:

Come April 1, all import commodities from Thailand and Indonesia, including fruits and vegetables, will be graded according to standards set by the Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (Fama) based on the Malaysian Standard (MS).

Fama deputy director-general Sahbani Saimin said the regulation imposed on importers, wholesalers and retailers was aimed at increasing the quality of products to ensure they were up to international standards.

“So, starting April 1, next year, all commodities from Thailand and Indonesia need to be graded before they are sold to the public,” he told reporters after a briefing ceremony on Regulation 3P of the Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority Act 1965 (Act 141).

According to Act 141, which was revised in 2004, all commodities were required to be graded by MS, including packaging and labelling, before it was sold inside and outside the country.

Sahbani said a commodity was considered perishable if it was brought in large quantities without a special packaging system and graded, according to international standards.

He added that the packaging system needed to be suitable with the measurement, quality and quantity of the product, as well as be clean and durable so that it could give maximum protection to the product.

    My comment:

As we know, many third-world countries still in the process of developing. Many things they export cannot be sold well in others countries in the world such as United States, England and German. This is because people in those countries think that these imported goods are in the low standard with ugly outlook. Although those goods are cheaper than the goods in their countries, they feel afraid to eat and use them. Malaysia is a country which buys the imported goods because our economy is low and tends to help those countries. However, there are many foods poisonous cases happen recently. As a result, government decides to take the step to control the quality of these goods by applying the law.

This step is a wise step to take care of people's health. The government office will check the standard carefully before these goods are imported to our country. They will examine the nutrient in the goods, the label and good packaging. These will make sure the goods are not added with some harmful chemical substances and always in clean condition. Good packaging will give enough protection to the goods and make them durable. Besides, with some labels, people will make their decision to choose good things and feel anxious when using them. These steps will cause cheaper goods are made in higher standard in the future. Therefore, these goods can be sold well in the others countries. Finally, I hope the government will carry out these steps on others products to make sure they are safe to use.

  27. What are the most important things in life? What do the proverbs, the wise sayings of man through the ages, have to say on this point? Let us search them. If we did so we would come
    up with the following list:
    - the basic necessities (food and shelter)
    - a good wife (or spouse)
    - good health
    - a good conscience
    - a good name
    - wisdom, understanding, good sense, spiritual knowledge, understanding of ourselves and life

Now let us ask another question. What things are most commonly pursued by man? What does the common, ordinary man pursue in life? We can list them:
    - temporary pleasure (gratification of appetites)
    - material possessions, wealth
    - social position, being "important"
    - friendship, friends, acceptance by a group

When we ask the question "What are the important things in life?" what we really mean is: "What things in life bring the best happiness?" Both are just different ways of phrasing the same question.
What a person pursues in life depends on what he values. His values, basic tastes and preferences, determine his priorities and the way he occupies himself and spends his time. The most basic, underlying values of the wise man are Wisdom, Understanding, Justice, Goodness, and Virtue. These are his first loves. They are what drive him, determining his tastes and preferences.

  28. As we know, on last 28th March, Malaysia created a new history when plunged into darkness with many of its famous landmarks and skyscrapers switching off to mark Earth Hour. This is Malaysia's first participation in the event initiated by World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) since it started in Australia in 2007.

The newspapers reported that tens of thousands of households and businesses nationwide joining millions others across the globe in solidarity to turn off non-essential lights for the one hour campaign aimed at raising awareness on global climate change.

On that night in KL, the gleaming Petronas Twin Towers went blackout as the clock struck 8.30 pm while at KL Tower, a base jumper carrying the Earth Hour flag parachuted from the tower to signal the start of the event. In UMP, we also joined this campaign as we went blackout for one hour from 8.30 pm until 9.30 pm to show our love for the earth and to support the effort by WWF.

Other landmarks including the historical Sultan Abdul Samad Building, Angkasapuri, Menara TM, Menara Maybank, Istana Budaya, Kuala Lumpur Hospital and National Heart Institute also had their lights turned off.

  29. IF TOMORROW NEVER COMES...

    If tomorrow never comes
Have I done what I should have done today
Or did I just let time slip away

    If tomorrow never comes
Have I said sorry to the people I have done wrong hurting
And plead to God for forgiveness for all my sinning

    If tomorrow never comes
Did I say thanks to the people I know,
Or I just didn’t bother to show

    If tomorrow never comes
Will I know what is next to come,
And will I get to paradise with a warm welcome

    If tomorrow never comes
I won’t let the day pass away,
And cherish what I have today

    If tomorrow never comes
I’m sure to strive my best,
And make that day the best from the rest

We will never know if we have tomorrow,
So I plead to God with full of sorrow:
DEAR LORD SHOW ME THE WAY,
FOR YOUR WAY IS THE ONLY WAY,
AND MAKE MY EVERYDAY MY BEST DAY, AMIN!

  30. A MOTHERS LOVE

    By unknown Author

A little boy came up to his mother in the kitchen one evening while she was fixing supper, and handed her a piece of paper that he had been writing on. After his Mom dried her hands on an apron, she read it, and this is what it said:

    For cutting the grass: $5.00
For cleaning up my room this week: $1.00
For going to the store for you: $.50
Baby-sitting my kid brother while you went shopping: $.25
    Taking out the garbage: $1.00
For getting a good report card: $5.00
For cleaning up and raking the yard: $2.00
    Total owed: $14.75

Well, his mother looked at him standing there, and the boy could see the memories flashing through her mind. She picked up the pen, turned over the paper he'd written on, and this is what she wrote:

For the nine months I carried you while you were growing inside me:
    No Charge

For all the nights that I've sat up with you, doctored and prayed for you:
    No Charge

For all the trying times, and all the tears that you've caused through the years:
    No Charge

For all the nights that were filled with dread, and for the worries I knew were ahead:
    No Charge

For the toys, food, clothes, and even wiping your nose:
    No Charge

Son, when you add it up, the cost of my love is:
    No Charge.

When the boy finished reading what his mother had written, there were big tears in his eyes, and he looked straight at his mother and said, "Mom, I sure do love you." And then he took the pen and in great big letters he wrote: "PAID IN FULL".
    hmm..
what can learn from this story?
we must appreciate our mum's love..
because eventhough we said that we how much she loves us but we never know how much she sacrify and what she feel until we feel it ourself..rigt?so be good son/daughter..

  31. Inspirational Poem

    Never Give Up

    In that dark lonesome place
    between a dream dreamed
    and a dream realized,

I have left a little light for you
so you will know that someone cares
    and believes in your dream.

Just where it becomes the most dark
and difficult to find your way,
there is the light I left for you.

    It will light your way,
    through the doubt, the confusion,
    and the fears,

    It will stay with you
all the way to the realization
    of your dream.

And when your dream has come true,
please go back to that darkest place
    where you have been,

And set the little light there to give heart
to the next sweet soul that braves the path
    to his or her dreams.

Dreamers are the architects of greatness.
There wisdom lies within their souls.
Dream long enough and hard enough
and your dream can be attained.

What I understand from this poem is we must be confident with ourselves that we can be successful and never give up and keep on trying …we have the strength, find it..

  33. Please tell the children. We do this all the time, but no longer....

A few days ago, a person was recharging his cell phone at home.
Just at that time a call Came in and he answered it with the Instrument still connected to the outlet.
After a few seconds electricity flowed into the cell phone unrestrained and the young man was thrown to the ground with a heavy thud.

His parents rushed to the room only to find him unconscious, with a weak heartbeat and burnt fingers.

He was rushed to the nearby hospital, but was pronounced dead on arrival.

Cell phones are a very useful modern invention.

However, we must be aware that it can also be an instrument of death.

Never use the cell phone while it is hooked to the electrical outlet!

Cells phones can kill, scary >.< …… But this is only when users are unaware of the precautions of using them and the risks that associate the improper usage. Never receive a call while the phone is being charged, if you know the incoming call is urgent, turn off the switch and unplug the connecter beforehand, I am sure you don’t want to be a victim of electrocution.

  34. 6 ELEMENTS OF AN EFFECTIVE PRESENTATION

1.Be Prepared - Being prepared is by far the most important element. How many times do you practice your speech? As a general rule, you should spend about 30 hours of preparation and rehearsal time for every hour you will be speaking. Use a tape recorder or videotape yourself. This will help you to get an accurate picture of how you speak.

2.Give of Yourself - Use personal examples and stories in your speech whenever possible. Make sure your stories help to emphasize or support your point. The stories must match your message. In either case be willing to give of yourself by sharing some of yourself with the audience.

3.Stay Relaxed - To stay relaxed you should be prepared. Also, focus on your message and not the audience. Use gestures, including walking patterns. Practice the opening of your speech and plan exactly how you will say it. The audience will judge you in the first 30 seconds they see you.

4.Use Natural Humor - Don't try to be a stand up comedian. Use natural humor by poking fun at yourself and something you said or did. Be sure NOT to make fun of anyone in the audience. People will laugh with you when you poke fun at yourself but don't over do it.

5.Plan Your Body & Hand Positions - During the practice of your speech look for occasions where you can use a gesture. Establish three positions where you will stand and practice not only how to move to them but where in your speech do you move. Pick three positions, one on center stage, one to your right, and one to your left. Do not hide behind the lectern. When you do move maintain eye contact with the audience.

6.Pay attention to all details - Make sure you have the right location (school, hotel, room & time). Make sure you know how to get to where you are speaking. Ask how large an audience you will be speaking to. Make sure you bring all your visual aids and plenty of handouts. Arrive early so you can check out where you will be speaking and make any last minute adjustments.

    My comment:

Maybe all of you have familiar with this title. But do you still remember all the element to be a good presenter? As we already know, anyone can give a speech, but not everyone can give an effective speech. Some of us still get nervous while giving a speech or presentation although we have given a speech before. All the 6 elements above can help you to improve yourself to be a good presenter. You can use these elements in presenting your invention product next week. Good luck to all of you.

    Warriors or rebels?

    http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2009/2/6/nation/3203937&sec=nation

To be honest , when reading history books , I never really saw our warriors as rebels. Regardless of how they were perceived by the British , I believe Malaysians still see our warriors as heroes. So I believe that UKM need not worry so much about how our warriors were labelled as what matters is how Malaysians perceive them to be.

Nevertheless , it is true that their efforts and courage are not highlighted enough. So I believe that UKM’s effort should be more focused on this aspect to make role models of our warriors as an example to our youths.

    Work sharing

    http://biz.thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2009/2/20/business/20090220140806&sec=business

Many countries have become victims to the economic downfall. As a result of the economic fallout , many have lost their jobs and fallen prey to unemployment. Japan’s action to initiate a work-sharing concept is actually a great move. With this , the country actually shares the pain of the economic downturn so everyone just takes a small pinch rather a punch. This actually brings the people closer as well which is a great thing for any country. In addition to that , it is any governments vision to spread wealth evenly among the people. So by taking this action , the Japanese government is actually taking a step towards that.

Moreover , the economic growth of a country is dependant on the buying power of the citizens. So by having the work-sharing concept , more citizens will have buying power instead of just a handful of citizens. This will assist in bringing the economy back up again. In addition to that , by not retrenching their workers , companies can easily resume full production when the economy is back on its feet.

    Which gender drives better?

    http://www.star-motoring.com/blog/permalink.asp?id=430

This has been an argument going on for years. With the statistics proving that women are better , women all over the world must be jumping for joy. However , I think that the meaning of safe needs to properly defined. Looking at the statistics , it only shows that women are better because they are involved in lesser accidents than men. Therefore , I would agree that women are safer drivers.

However , if we define better as more skilful and have better control , no offence to women but I think that men would win this. Firstly , if we look at racing , most of the drivers are men. I believe that this proves something as racing requires a lot of skill , control and reflex. Besides that , women are generally more afraid to drive than men. This fear may cause women to lack certain skills that men have. So based on two different definitions , I have two different views. Lastly , I would like to add that I have nothing against women but am merely stating my point of view.

that my best friend and I can do anything or nothing and have the best time.

    I’ve learned-
that sometimes the people you expect to kick you when you’re down will be the ones to help you get back up.

    I’ve learned-
that sometimes when I’m angry I have the right to be angry, but that doesn’t give me the right to be cruel.

    I’ve learned-
that true friendship continues to grow, even over the longest distance. Same goes for true love.

    I’ve learned-
that just because someone doesn’t love you the way you want them to doesn’t mean they don’t love you with all they have.

    I’ve learned-
that maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you’ve had and what you’ve learned from them and less to do with how many birthdays you’ve celebrated.

    I’ve learned-
that you should never tell a child their dreams are unlikely or outlandish. Few things are more humiliating, and what a tragedy it would be if they believed it.

    I’ve learned-
that your family won’t always be there for you. It may seem funny, but people you aren’t related to can take care of you and love you and teach you to trust people again. Families aren’t biological.

    I’ve learned-
that it isn’t always enough to be forgiven by others. Sometimes you are to learn to forgive yourself.

    I’ve learned-
that no matter how bad your heart is broken the world doesn’t stop for your grief.

    I’ve learned-
that our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are, but we are responsible for who we become.

    I’ve learned-
that a rich person is not the one who has the most, but is one who needs the least.

    I’ve learned-
that just because two people argue, it doesn’t mean they don’t love each other. And just because they don’t argue, it doesn’t mean they do.

    I’ve learned-
that we don’t have to change friends if we understand that friends change.

    I’ve learned-
that you shouldn’t be so eager to find out a secret. It could change your life forever.

    I’ve learned-
that two people can look at the exact same thing and see something totally different.

    I’ve learned-
that no matter how you try to protect your children, they will eventually get hurt and you will hurt in the process.

    I’ve learned-
that even when you think you have no more to give, when a friend cries out to you, you will find the strength to help.

    I’ve learned-
that credentials on the wall do not make you a decent human being.

    I’ve learned-
that the people you care about most in life are taken from you too soon.

    I’ve learned-
that it’s hard to determine where to draw the line between being nice and not hurting people’s feelings, and standing up for what you believe.

    I’ve learned-
that people will forget what you said, and people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.

  39. PEOPLE AROUND US

Sometimes people come into your life and you know right away that they were meant to be there, to serve some sort of purpose, teach you a lesson, or to help you figure out who you are or who you want to become.

You never know who these people may be - a roommate, a neighbor, a professor, a friend, a lover, or even a complete stranger - but when you lock eyes with them, you know at that very moment they will affect your life in some profound way.

Sometimes things happen to you that may seem horrible, painful, and unfair at first, but in reflection you find that without overcoming those obstacles you would have never realized your potential, strength, willpower, or heart.

Illness, injury, love, lost moments of true greatness, and sheer stupidity all occur to test the limits of your soul. Without these small tests, whatever they may be, life would be like a smoothly paved straight flat road to nowhere. It would be safe and comfortable, but dull and utterly pointless.

The people you meet who affect your life, and the success and downfalls you experience, help to create who you are and who you become. Even the bad experiences can be learned from. In fact, they are sometimes the most important ones.

If someone loves you, give love back to them in whatever way you can, not only because they love you, but because in a way, they are teaching you to love and how to open your heart and eyes to things.

If someone hurts you, betrays you, or breaks your heart, forgive them, for they have helped you learn about trust and the importance of being cautious to whom you open your heart.

Make every day count. Appreciate every moment and take from those moments everything that you possibly can for you may never be able to experience it again. Talk to people that you have never talked to before, and listen to what they have to say.

Let yourself fall in love, break free, and set your sights high. Hold your head up because you have every right to. Tell yourself you are a great individual and believe in yourself, for if you don’t believe in yourself, it will be hard for others to believe in you.

You can make anything you wish of your life. Create your own life and then go out and live it with absolutely no regrets.

And if you love someone tell them, for you never know what tomorrow may have in store.

Learn a lesson in life each day that you live!

Today is the tomorrow you were worried about yesterday.

Think About it? Was it worth it?

  40. One Step...

Foolish people with all their other thoughts, have this one too: They are always getting ready to live, but never living.

Your success will start when you begin to pursue it. To reach your goal or to attain success, you don’t need to know all of the answers in advance. You just need to have a clear idea of what your goal is.

Don’t procrastinate when faced with difficult problems. Break your problems into parts, and handle one part at a time.

Develop tendencies toward taking action. You can make something happen right now. Divide your big plan into small steps and take that first step right away.

Everyone who ever got where they are had to begin where they were. Your big opportunity is where you are right now.

A journey of a thousand miles begins with one step. Take it.

  41. Don't quit!

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
when the road you’re trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest, if you must, but do not quit.

Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about,
    When he might have won had he stuck it out;
Don’t give up though the pace seems slow—
You may succeed with another blow.

Often the goal is nearer than,
It seems to a faint and faltering man,
Often the struggler has given up,
When he might have captured the victor’s cup,
And he learned too late when the night slipped down,
How close he was to the golden crown.

Success is failure turned inside out—
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems so far,
So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit—
It’s when things seem worst that you must not quit.

  42. A Smile

A smile costs nothing, but gives much.

It enriches those who receive, without making poorer those who give.

It takes a moment, but the memory of it sometimes lasts forever.

None is so rich or mighty that he can get along without it, and none is so poor, but that he can be made rich by it.

A smile creates happiness in the home, fosters good will in business, and is the countersign of friendship.

It brings rest to the weary, cheer to the discouraged, sunshine to the sad, and it is nature’s best antidote for trouble.

Yet it cannot be bought, begged, borrowed, or stolen, for it is something that is of no value to anyone, until it is given away.

    Some people are too tired to give you a smile;

Give them one of yours, as none needs a smile so much as he who has no more to give.

  43. Helpless Love

Once upon a time all feelings and emotions went to a coastal island for a vacation. According to their nature, each was having a good time. Suddenly, a warning of an impending storm was announced and everyone was advised to evacuate the island.

The announcement caused sudden panic. All rushed to their boats. Even damaged boats were quickly repaired and commissioned for duty.

Yet, Love did not wish to flee quickly. There was so much to do. But as the clouds darkened, Love realised it was time to leave. Alas, there were no boats to spare. Love looked around with hope.

Just then Prosperity passed by in a luxurious boat. Love shouted, “Prosperity, could you please take me in your boat?”

“No,” replied Prosperity, “my boat is full of precious possessions, gold and silver. There is no place for you.”

A little later Vanity came by in a beautiful boat. Again Love shouted, “Could you help me, Vanity? I am stranded and need a lift. Please take me with you.”

Vanity responded haughtily, “No, I cannot take you with me. My boat will get soiled with your muddy feet.”

Sorrow passed by after some time. Again, Love asked for help. But it was to no avail. “No, I cannot take you with me. I am so sad. I want to be by myself.”

When Happiness passed by a few minutes later, Love again called for help. But Happiness was so happy that it did not look around, hardly concerned about anyone.

Love was growing restless and dejected. Just then somebody called out, “Come Love, I will take you with me.” Love did not know who was being so magnanimous, but jumped on to the boat, greatly relieved that she would reach a safe place.

On getting off the boat, Love met Knowledge. Puzzled, Love inquired, “Knowledge, do you know who so generously gave me a lift just when no one else wished to help?”

Knowledge smiled, “Oh, that was Time.”

“And why would Time stop to pick me and take me to safety?” Love wondered.

Knowledge smiled with deep wisdom and replied, “Because only Time knows your true greatness and what you are capable of. Only Love can bring peace and great happiness in this world.”

“The important message is that when we are prosperous, we overlook love. When we feel important, we forget love. Even in happiness and sorrow we forget love. Only with time do we realize the importance of love. Why wait that long? Why not make love a part of your life today?”

  44. Video Games: Fighting violence

Actually, parents really know what they are buying when they pick up video games for their children?

Video games have ratings to warn parents of their contents but in many cases, parents and vendors are not aware of how important these ratings are, or even of their presence. So, if it didn't control smoothly, it will exposure to negative content at a very young age could affect children later in their life.

What the important for parents are to check the ratings of games bought by their children. There is no law on video games. Therefore, these ratings must be actively promoted to parents.

The onus is on parents. Just as many failed to realise the dangers posed by junk food, today's parents are also failing to realise the dangers of violent video games and television shows.

Although the government was doing something about violence on TV by having certain programmes aired only later in the night. Still, it is the parents' duty to ensure they don't contain violent content. Parents must ensure they are not building a generation of fat, violent kids.

Thus, co-operation and action is need to take over this problem, since it is related to the children future.

  45. 3 Don’ts when you are sleeping...

    DON’T SLEEP WITH WATCH
Watches can emit a certain level of radioactivity. Though small, but if you wear your watch to bed for a long time, it might have adverse effects on your health.

    DON’T SLEEP WITH PHONE
Putting the phone beside your bed or anywhere near you is not encouraged. Though some of us will use phones as alarm clocks, but please put the phone as far as possible. Scientists have proved that electrical items including mobile phone and television sets emit magnetic waves when used. These waves can cause disruptions to our nervous system. Therefore if you need to put your mobile phone near you, switch it off first.

    DON’T SLEEP WITH MAKE UP
People who sleep with make up might have skin problems in the long run. Sleeping with make up will cause the skin to have difficulty in breathing and problem in perspiring. You will also need a much longer time to go into deep sleep.

So, avoid it. This is for your future.

  46. Most of you know that for my movie maker project I took on the topic of F1 cars .so this week i would like to post a comment in dedication to that.In 1950, as an answer to the Motorcycle World Championships introduced in 1949, the F̩d̩ration Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) organized the first ever official World Championship for Drivers using the Formula One rules. The organization of the championship, to be held across six of the 'major' Grands Prix of Europe, plus the Indianapolis 500, was a mere formalization of what had already been developing in Grand Prix racing during the previous years. It was the Italian teams of Alfa Romeo, Ferrari, and Maserati which were best positioned to dominate the initial years of the championship. Other national manufacturers Рsuch as the French manufacturer Talbot or the British effort BRM Рcompeted, although less successfully. A number of private cars also took part in local races.

Alfa Romeo dominated all before them in the 1950 season, winning every race in the championship with the pre-war "Alfetta" 158s. The sole exception was the Indianapolis 500, which was part of the championship, although not run to Formula One regulations and rarely contested by the European teams. The race would never be important for Formula One and was no longer part of the championship after 1960. Nino Farina won the inaugural championship, Juan Manuel Fangio taking it in 1951 with the Alfa-Romeo 159, an evolution of the 158. The Alfetta's engines were extremely powerful for their capacity: In 1951 the 159 engine was producing around 420 bhp (310 kW) but this was at the price of a fuel consumption of 125 to 175 litres per 100 km (2.26 to 1.61 mpg imp/1.88 mpg to 1.34 mpg US).[1] Enzo Ferrari, who had raced the Alfettas before the war, was the first to understand that the 1.5 litre supercharged engine was a dead end: Any increase in power meant more fuel to carry or more time lost in the pits for refuelling, For the last races of 1950 Ferrari sent his 1.5 litre supercharged 125s to the museum, and fielded the new V12 4.5 litre normally aspirated 375s. With a fuel consumption of around 35 litres per 100 kilometres (8.1 mpg-imp; 6.7 mpg-US) the 375s offered fierce opposition to the Alfettas towards the end of the 1951 season. Alfa Romeo, a state-owned company, decided to withdraw after a refusal of the Italian government to fund the expensive design of a new car. Surprisingly, Alfa Romeo involvement in racing was made with a very thin budget, using mostly pre-war technology and material during the two seasons. For instance the team won two championships using only nine pre-war built engine blocks.

No Alfa Romeo, a supporting cast of privateer Lago-Talbot entries and an almost undriveable, unreliable BRM would make Ferrari effectively invincible. The FIA was in an embarrassing position as it had already announced that current Formula One regulations would last until 1954 before switching to 2.5-litre atmospheric engines. Major manufacturers were already working to develop cars for the future regulation and it was obvious that nobody would develop a new car for only two years. The promoters of the World Championship Grands Prix, mindful of the lack of serious competition for the Alfettas, eventually all adopted Formula Two regulations for two years. However, Ferrari's dominance went on with the light 4-cylinder powered 500s, bringing Italian legend Alberto Ascari his two championships in the 1952 and 1953 seasons. Ferrari's Formula One cars continued to race very successfully in non-Championship Formula One and Formula Libre races through this period. Ironically, during this period the only World Championship race for which Formula One cars were eligible was the Indianapolis 500. In 1952 Ferrari entered four Formula One 375s with Alberto Ascari as lead driver, but with little success.

Discounting the Indianapolis 500, the World Championship was entirely based in Europe until 1953 when the season opened in Argentina. Since then there has always been at least one race outside Europe.

As planned, the World Championship races returned to Formula One regulations for the 1954 season, now based on 2.5-litre atmospheric engines. With them, Lancia and Mercedes-Benz came to the formula, hiring the best drivers of the era: Ascari for Lancia, Fangio for Mercedes. Featuring desmodromic valves, fuel injection, magnesium and exotic alloys parts, "streamlined" bodywork and other advanced features, the brand new Mercedes began the 1954 season with Fangio taking pole position at the "Grand Prix de l'ACF" at Reims-Gueux with the first lap over 200 km/h (124 mph) in Formula One before winning the race after a duel with other Mercedes driver Karl Kling, who finished second.

The Mercedes cars swept the next two seasons with Fangio winning all but three of the races. However, at the end of the 1955 season Mercedes vanished as swiftly as they had come. They had proven the superiority of their technology, but the crash of one of their sportscars that year at Le Mans, killing 83 people, was also a significant factor. The company would not return to Formula One for forty years.[2] After Le Mans, three of the year's remaining Grands Prix were cancelled.

The Monaco Grand Prix saw a spectacular incident when Ascari and his Lancia crashed into the harbour after missing a chicane. Ascari was pulled out of the water alive and apparently well. However, there was speculation over an undetected internal injury when four days later Ascari was killed at Monza while testing a sportscar. After Ascari's death, Lancia followed Mercedes out of the category, passing their engines, cars, information and technology to Ferrari.

The 1956 season saw Fangio make good use of the Lancia-born Ferrari to win his fourth championship. Driving for Maserati, he took his fifth championship in the 1957 season, a record which would not be beaten for 46 years.

  47. LOVE
    what's mean by word love???
here i want to share my opinion...
Love is any of a number of emotions and experiences related to a sense of strong affection and attachment. The word love can refer to a variety of different feelings, states, and attitudes, ranging from generic pleasure to intense interpersonal attraction. The word love is both a verb and a noun. Love is not a single feeling but an emotion built from two or more feelings. Anything vital to us creates more than one feeling, and we also have feelings about our feelings (and thoughts about our feelings). This diversity of uses and meanings, combined with the complexity of the feelings involved, makes love unusually difficult to consistently define, even compared to other emotional states.
As an abstract concept, love usually refers to a deep, ineffable feeling of tenderly caring for another person. Even this limited conception of love, however, encompasses a wealth of different feelings, from the passionate desire and intimacy of romantic love to the nonsexual emotional closeness of familial and platonic love to the profound oneness or devotion of religious love.Love in its various forms acts as a major facilitator of interpersonal relationships and, owing to its central psychological importance, is one of the most common themes in the creative arts.

  48. Identify your headache - Detect the type of headache
Headaches are irritants that could spoil your day. They could take away your efficiency by almost 50 per cent.Often we neglect headaches and try to get on with the daily chores till finally 3-4 hours later the headache becomes unbearable. After hours of this slow torture, finally we pop in a tablet to relieve the pain. If you do a quick analysis, you'll realise that from the moment the headache began to the time you took the tablet, you may have lost many hours of productive time. So the next time you feel the headache coming, first of all try to identify what kind of headache it might be and then go for the cure. Headaches occur for many reasons. They come due to tension or inflammation of the sinus. Sometimes headaches come when the eyes are under strain.
1)Tension headache: The most common type of headache, immortalised in TV commercials where a harried woman is hounded by a demanding husband, bratty children and a tyrannical boss.
Symptom: Feels like a tight band around your head.
Cause: Tight muscles in the face, neck and scalp, usually caused by stress.
Migraine: A headache has to be pretty nasty to earn the name migraine, which means "half a head" in French.
Symptom: A throbbing pain, usually on one side of the head. Usually accompanied by nausea, vomiting and sensitivity to light and sound.
Cause: Uneven levels of the brain chemical serotonin, which causes the blood vessels in the head to
constrict, then expand, putting pressure on surrounding nerves. Can be aggravated by the hormonal changes of the menstrual cycle.
Prewarning: Most migraines are preceded by what's called an aura - flickering points of light or jagged lines that distort your vision.
2)Sinus headache: Pain around the bridge of your nose, jaws and ears. Sometimes pain moves down into the gums. Usually starts in the morning and gets worse throughout the day.
Cause: When you have a sinus infection, trapped air and pus press against the swollen, tender lining of your sinuses.
Hard fact: Sinus infections are common but sinus headaches are actually quite rare.
3)Cluster headache: The most excruciating of all headaches.
Symptom: A piercing, throbbing, burning pain that bores into one side of the head, around or behind the eyes. Can occur several times each day for weeks or months at a time.

My strength to thee, and thine to mine,
    Our fervor never fallow,

I have read the article about living at hostel. I am totally agree with this statement. This is because we can get more advantages if we live at hostel. The advantages of living in hostels are very prominent. A person who is living in a hostel, we can study with full concentration. We will also learn to trust on ourselves because we have to do all of his personal work by ourselves. And that makes a person confident and courageous.

  52. METHADONE
I want to share to you about methadone. Do you know what is methadone? Methadone is a rigorously well-tested medication that is safe and efficacious for the treatment of narcotic withdrawal and dependence. For more than 30 years this synthetic narcotic has been used to treat opioid addiction. Heroin releases an excess of dopamine in the body and causes users to need an opiate continuously occupying the opioid receptor in the brain. Methadone occupies this receptor and is the stabilizing factor that permits addicts on methadone to change their behavior and to discontinue heroin use. Methadone reduces the cravings associated with heroin use and blocks the high from heroin, but it does not provide the euphoric rush. Consequently, methadone patients do not experience the extreme highs and lows that result from the waxing and waning of heroin in blood levels. Ultimately, the patient remains physically dependent on the opioid, but is freed from the uncontrolled, compulsive, and disruptive behavior seen in heroin addicts.Withdrawal from methadone is much slower than that from heroin. As a result, it is possible to maintain an addict on methadone without harsh side effects.

  53. Life is short!!!![

    Life is short
    Break the rules
    forgive quickly
    kiss passionately, love truly
    laugh constantly
    And never stop smiling
no matter how strange life is
Life is not always the party we expected to be
but as long as we are here, we should smile and be grateful.

    My comments:
I received an email from my friends yesterday. This email includes few pictures and this poem. In this world, most of the people think that the life is meaningless and long. They think the life is suffering and hard too. Some of them commit suicide because they cannot face some problems and challenges in their life. This action is foolish as the life is the most important thing in this world. The pictures show that Katie has terminal cancer and spends hours a day receiving medication. Her lover, Nick wants to marry her before she go to heaven. In spite of all the pain, organ failures, and morphine shots, Katie walks into the church happily. Many friends come to her marriage and give her blessing. They feel grateful and smile happily until the wedding day ends. Finally, Katie died five days after her wedding day.

I learn some lessons from this email. We must not simply take away our life. We have to live happily always because we do not know when our life will end. Besides, we should appreciate everyday and do some meaningful matters in our life because we are still alive. We should love our people around us sincerely and try not to hurt them. If we hurt them accidentally, we should apologize to them. Life is the one cannot be replaced or repeated even though you have plenty of money and power. I hope all people will spend every hour, every minute and every second in their life joyfully and meaningfully.

  54. FRIENDSHIP : Tips For A Special Relationship

    from : www.iLuvislam.com

Friendship is a most beautiful thing happened to human being. We all meet some people with whom we never had a kinship, but they become so special in our life that it becomes hard to live without them. Let us see some points we should consider while playing a role in friendship. Many poets have described friendship as one of the most fascinating bond we ever make in our life. It's the most beautiful thing that happens to us.

Friendship is a relation that is entirely based on trust, belief of two friends in each other. We come across many things in our lives, about which we do not tell anything to people near and dear to us, but we freely tell everything to our friends. Many people find good friends but they fail to continue with their friendship, because they do not know their role as a friend.

Let us see some important points that we should take care of if we wish to be good friend for someone:

Be a secrete admirer of your friend:
If your friend is good at something then do not praise him/her in his/her presence. Praising a person for what he/she is good, does not improve his/her qualities, but can cause over-confidence to be induced in him/her, which surely will be harmful for your friend. A good friend should never miss an opportunity to praise his/her friend in front of others when he/she is not around.

Don't proved him/her wrong in public:
As it is important not to praise a friend openly in his/her presence, it is also very much important to abstain from proving him/her wrong in front of other people. Take him/her away from the crowd and let him/her know where he/she is wrong. There is no point in proving your friend wrong in other's presence; it will spoil your friend's image in other's view. And additionally your friendship will be in danger.

    Try to understand your friend:
It is always important to understand what your friend is worried about or what problems he/she is facing. Always try to understand the situation your friend is in and try to soothe him/her. It is evident that if people are undergoing some problems, they will not speak up their problems to their brothers or sisters, they will instead tell everything to their friends. Let your friend speak up, just listen to him/her and be with him/her until your friend does not come out of frustration.

Pull Your Friend Away From Making Mistakes:
If your friend is doing something wrong, it is your duty to let him/her know it at earliest. Keep in mind; best friend has to play a role of critic if he/she wants his/her friend to stop doing wrong things. But again keep in mind not to show your friends mistakes in front of other people. Sometimes it is important to understand your friend's intentions behind his/her actions and try to analyze situation, then only you should give your opinion.

    The Ego Problem:
Never let ego spoil your friendship. It is no reason to be jealous if your friend is not at all able to speak to you and is with someone else, you have to be his/her friend, do not expect word of gratitude from the person you think is your friend. Sometimes there could be a clash between you and your friend, and you both stop talking to each other for some time, it is not at all wrong to speak first and say sorry to your friend, no matter what happens.

    Try to Teach Good Things:
If you are a true friend, you should never give your hungry friend a fish, instead, you should teach him/her how to fish, this will give your friend food for lifetime. A good friend will never wish his/her friend to be dependent on someone.

    Do Not Interfere:
Most important point that one should take care of is that your friend has his/her own life and you should not interfere in his/her life. You have a right to tell your friend what is good and what is bad, but you do not have a right to make someone do what you wish. Hope this will help you out solve some of your problems you are facing in friendship.

  57. Exercise To Reduce Large Eating Habit

I have read about an article of 'weight loss' which tell us that exercise will reduce large eating habit. Based on my overview, many people think that if they begin exercising they will become hungrier and start to eat more food and worry that they will put on weight due to the reality that they will be consuming more food. What they don't complete is the fact that your blood sugar demolishs resolve when you feel hungry. When your blood sugar drops you will start to feel hungry and obtain food to swell the demolish again.

  59. 7 Habits Of Healthy Eating

Healthy eating and living a healthy lifestyle has a lot to do with forming the right habits. Here are seven of the best habits you can develop when it comes to healthy eating. Start by picking one of them and making it a habit of your own before moving on to the next. Before you know it, you will have developed a much healthier eating lifestyle.

    Drink Plenty of Water
Your body has to stay well hydrated to perform at its best and to properly process all the nutrients in the food you eat. Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. You may need even more water if you are in a hot environment – like spending the day at the beach in 95-degree weather, or if you are exercising.

If you are trying to lose weight, add plenty of ice to each glass of water. Your body will burn energy to warm the water up to body temperature. Research has shown you can speed up your metabolism by 1/3 by drinking several glasses of ice water each day.

    Eat Breakfast
You’ve probably heard this before; breakfast is the most important meal of the day. After not eating for the past ten hours, your body needs fuel to get you going. You will have more energy and will be more alert after eating breakfast.

A recent study has shown that women who eat breakfast will consume an average of 100 calories less during the day than their counterparts who skipped breakfast. If you are trying to lose weight, eating breakfast is a definite must.

Make sure your children eat breakfast as well. They will be more alert in school and able to concentrate better.

    Don’t Skip Lunch
There are many days when we are tempted to skip lunch. We are trying to lose weight and want to save some calories; we don’t have the time and end up working through our lunch break, or have errands to run. Let’s take a look at what happens when we skip lunch. Blood sugar levels drop, metabolism slows down to compensate for the missing fuel and when you get home you are starving and eat everything you can get your hands on.

Eat a light lunch each day. If you don’t have time to go out, pack a brown bag lunch. Fix a turkey sandwich and some carrots or grapes in the morning and take them with you for a quick lunch at your desk.

    Choose Your Snacks Carefully
We all need to snack from time to time. In fact, it’s a good idea to eat two healthy snacks in addition to your three main meals. This doesn’t mean that you can stop by the snack machine and grab a bag of chips or a candy bar.

Choose healthy snacks like fruits and vegetables, low fat yogurt, cottage cheese with applesauce, some whole-wheat crackers with cheese, or some trail mix.

    Eat Your Fruit and Vegetables
There is a good reason the 5-a-day campaign was started. We should eat at least 5 servings of fruits and vegetables a day, yet many of us get hardly any servings in at all. Grab a piece of fruit for a snack, add some banana and raisins to your favorite breakfast cereal, have a salad with lunch, and make it a habit to fix at least one vegetable side with dinner each night. A simple fruit salad of cut up fruit dressed with a touch of lemon juice and honey makes for a quick and delicious desert any night of the week.

    Avoid Late Dinners
With our busy lives we are always tempted to put of dinner until the last minute. Try to eat dinner at least 3 hours before you go to bed. This will give your body a chance to digest most of the food before you rest for the next 8 hours.

A strategy that has worked well for me is to plan dinner for the week ahead of time and making sure I have every thing I need in the house. It allows me to get dinner started as soon as I get home and cuts out the extra time it takes to dig through the cupboards trying to find something to make and then running to the store to get the remaining ingredients.

Take a few minutes one day a week and plan the entire menu. Make a grocery list and shop for everything you need for the next few days. You may even want to post your menu on the fridge so other family members can get a head start on dinner if you have a late meeting at the office.

    Keep a Food Journal
Do you really know what you are eating each day? We often snack and eat more at regular meals than we realize. To get a better idea of what you are eating on a daily basis keep a food journal for a few days. All you need is a notebook and a pen. Write down everything you eat and drink in a given day. It is also a good idea to make notes about any emotions related to what you eat. For example, if you had a bad day at the office, and you have 2 slices of cheesecake after you get home as a result, write it down. You’ll be able to analyze what causes you to choose unhealthy foods and at what times of the day you are most likely to grab unhealthy foods. Recognizing what you bad eating habits are is the first step toward correcting the behavior.

You will be amazed how much better you will feel by incorporating these seven habits of healthy eating. Give them a try and see for yourself. Over the next few months we will be discussing many other health related topics. Don’t miss next month’s issue about easy ways to incorporate exercise into your daily routine.

Health is very important to us. When we have a good health body we can study well and won't be easy tired. Besides that, when we have a good health body we also won't be easy sick. And to get a good health body, healthy eating habit is the one way. We should choose a suitable food in a day to make our health in the stable level.

  60. Global Warming
It's a problem. What should we do now? What i am talking now? Well I am trying to bring to your attention on "GLOBAL WARMING".

Global warming is not something new. But then, this simple term of "global warming" is taken rather lightly among the people nowdays. It's very sad though to come to think about it. Simple statement, when the emission of carbon monoxide along with other toxic gas increases, the thinner the ozone layer gets. And if this happens, our earth is going to increase in heat. This is not good!If heat increases, forest fire, acid rain causing corrosion to building, along with greenhouse effect and etc will occur and certainly our earth is at a state of danger. AND WE ARE LIVING IN IT? EVER THOUGHT OF IT THAT WAY? Ok lets say if your house is on fire, there is a chance to run out. But if our earth is on fire, where would you escape? Out of space? I don't think so.

In the article, it's mentioned that "decisions made by the next president will be critically important, since industrialized nations will have to make steeper cuts to meet the goal". This statement was brought out because, countries especially the U.S is sadi to be the worlds top carbon polluter. Ok, the majority is just looking at it in the point of a countries responsibility but least has anyone thought about our responsibility as an individual. It's our World that we are living in. Don't you feel the need to take good care of the place they are living in? Therefore, after reading this article, I feel there is a need for me to remind Let us be in "One Family, One World" to save Earth from Global Warming. Thank you!

    3-2!

    http://soccernet.espn.go.com/report?id=244150&cc=3888

It is a great day for Manchester United fans as we once again go back to our winning ways. It has been a disappointing couple of weeks for us after our defeat to Liverpool and Fulham that saw our 7 point lead on the top of the table drop to a mere 1 point. Today however , things took a turn for the better with a 3-2 win over Aston Villa. Admittedly , the performance was not the greatest of performance but was really matters at the end of the day was the 3 points which kept us on the top of the table.

To add icing on the cake , the goal came from a player who is only 17 years old and is just playing his first game in the English Premier League. This comes to prove that anyone can make a difference in a team. Regardless of his age , Federico Macheda made the most impact in the match , turning the game around with just a few minutes on the clock. This is really the kind of drama Manchester United are made of. Hopefully Manchester United will keep to their winning ways from now on and take the two losses as a wake up call to maintain their form.

  64. Good day to all,
In this era of globalization, modernization has occurred, is occurring and will continue to occur. However we Asians assume modernization is adapting western life practices. The true modernization should occur in our mind and not in our physical appearance. Wearing sexy attire, chunky accessories, fashionable shoes and bags does not portray modernization wholly. Socializing, consuming alcohol especially among women, smoking habits are seen as modernization among Asians. Is that really modernization? Modernization in mind is about forward thinking and open minded. We should still sustain our culture and religious practice. We should be able to think out of the box and narrowing our mind should be avoided. Accepting critics and opinions from others is important. Working with an opposite gender or being close with a guy friend is seen as relationship in the eyes of many. Where the modernization has gone? Ability to curve our mind to the current move is modernization. Only partying and changing partners will not create this. That’ll only cause bad image and deviated mind. I hope this will create a question to all whether they are really being modern or solemnly assuming they are one. Life habits must be in line with religious beliefs and culture which proves you are a true Asian.

  67. How to Kiss Goodnight

Walk your date to her front door or as close as she'll let you get, before deciding what to do next. Assess the situation and her behavior; you'll need to do this quickly as you don't want to wait around forever. If she's only taken you to her front gate or doesn't even let you get that far, take it as a bad sign and maybe a good night kiss isn't such a great idea. If she has her key out of her purse, in the front door lock and you're saying goodnight to her back, this too is a bad sign. And then there's the dreaded cheek turn, where as you're going in for the kiss, she turns her head. If she's really disgusted by you, she'll turn her head so far you won't even get the cheek - you'll get the ear. Other red lights can be lips clamped or a stubborn refusal to make eye contact. Only make a move if you feel all is right. Remember that in every goodnight kiss scenario, you've got a limited "Window of Opportunity" to make your move. Create an "awkward pause" in the conversation Keep it simple, especially if this is your first kiss with your date - just turn your head slightly to the side, lean in slowly. You can place a hand on the small of her neck if you wish. If you want to be extra cute you could even kiss her hand or forehead, but be wary of the forehead kiss as some girls find it patronizing or granddad like. When you're walking away, give a little glance back - chances are she'll be watching you go.

  68. Have a Blessed Day!

A blind boy sat on the steps of a building with a hat by his feet. He held up a sign which said: 'I am blind, please help.' There were only a few coins in the hat.

A man was walking by. He took a few coins from his pocket and dropped them into the hat. He then took the sign, turned it around, and wrote some words. He put the sign back so that everyone who walked by would see the new words.

Soon the hat began to fill up. A lot more people were giving money to the blind boy. That afternoon the man who had changed the sign came to see how things were. The boy recognized his footsteps and asked, 'Were you the one who changed my sign this morning? What did you write?'

The man said, 'I only wrote the truth. I said what you said but in a different way.'
What he had written was: 'Today is a beautiful day and I cannot see it.'

Do you think the first sign and the second sign were saying the same thing?

Of course both signs told people the boy was blind. But the first sign simply said the boy was blind. The second sign told people they were so lucky that they were not blind. Should we be surprised that the second sign was more effective?

Moral of the Story: Be thankful for what you have. Be creative. Be innovative. Think differently and positively.

Invite others towards good with wisdom. Live life with no excuse and love with no regrets. When life gives you a 100 reasons to cry, show life that you have 1000 reasons to smile. Face your past without regret. Handle your present with confidence. Prepare for the future without fear. Keep the faith and eradicate the fear.

Great men say, 'Life has to be an incessant process of repair and reconstruction, of discarding evil and developing goodness. In the journey of life, if you want to travel without fear, you must have the ticket of a good conscience.'

The most beautiful thing is to see a person smiling
And even more beautiful is, knowing that you are the reason behind it!!!

  69. A Miracle

A little girl went to her bedroom and pulled a glass jelly jar from its hiding place in the closet. She poured the change out on the floor and counted it carefully. The total had to be exactly perfect. No chance here for mistakes. Carefully placing the coins back in the jar and twisting on the cap, she slipped out the back door and made her way 6 blocks to Rexall's Drug Store with the big red Indian Chief sign above the door.

She waited patiently for the pharmacist to give her some attention, but he was too busy at this moment. Tess twisted her feet to make a scuffing noise. Nothing. She cleared her throat with the most disgusting sound she could muster. No good. Finally she took a quarter from her jar and banged it on the glass counter. That did it!
"And what do you want?" the pharmacist asked in an annoyed tone of voice. "I'm talking to my brother from Chicago whom I haven't seen in ages," he said without waiting for a reply to his question.

"Well, I want to talk to you about my brother," Tess answered back in the same annoyed tone.

"He's really, really sick...and I want to buy a miracle."
"I beg your pardon?" said the pharmacist.

"His name is Andrew, and he has something bad growing inside his head, and my Daddy says only a miracle can save him now. So how much does a miracle cost?"
"We don't sell miracles here, little girl. I'm sorry, but I can't help you," the pharmacist said, softening a little.

"Listen, I have the money to pay for it. If it isn't enough, I will get the rest. Just tell me how much it costs."
The pharmacist's brother was a well dressed man. He stooped down and asked the little girl, "What kind of a miracle does your brother need?"

"I don't know," Tess replied with her eyes welling up. I just know he's really sick, and Mommy says he needs an operation. But my Daddy can't pay for it, so I want to use my money."
"How much do you have?" asked the man from Chicago.

"One dollar and eleven cents," Tess answered barely audibly. "And it's all the money I have, but I can get some more if I need to."
"Well, what a coincidence," smiled the man. "A dollar and eleven cents--the exact price of a miracle for little brothers."

He took her money in one hand and with the other hand he grasped her mitten and said "Take me to where you live. I want to see your brother and meet your parents. Let's see if I have the miracle you need."
That well dressed man was a surgeon specializing in neurosurgery. The operation was completed free of charge, and it wasn't long until Andrew was home again and doing well.
Mom and Dad were happily talking about the chain of events that had led them to this place.

"That surgery," her Mom whispered. "was a real miracle. I wonder how much it would havecost?"
Tess smiled. She knew exactly how much a miracle cost...one dollar and eleven cents...plus the faith of a little child.

  70. How To Take Care Your Hair?

We have about 100,000 hairs on our head. Each hair shaft has three layers, with cuticle, or outside layer, protecting the two inner layers. Do you know this? I may not only try to talk about this thing, but my main aim is to make you all realizing that the best way to protect and take care of your hair. By this reading, I think it can give you and me a big deal to cope off the hair falling and make your hair to be shiny always. Actually, how to take care to your hair depends on the type of the hair you have, your lifestyle and how you style your hair. If you with dry or curly hair, there have different hair care needs than people with straight hair. But all hair needs to be treated gently, especially when it’s wet. Wet hair can be stretch, making it more vulnerable to breakage or cuticle damage. That why using a hot blow-dryer on every wet hair can damage it. If your hair is dry and curly, you are advised that do not to wash your hair frequently or less frequently. Curly and dry hair usually more fragile than straight hair, so you shall be more careful using heat styling products. Shampoos made for dry and curly hair and the hair conditioners can help. Don’t think that your lifestyle may not influence your hair. Are you preferred for sporting or doing outdoor activities? Then, you are supposed to be more concern to your hair’s health. Often exposure to sun, wind, or other element which may directly affect your hair. A good idea from me is that to wear a hat when you are going to do your outdoor activities. As an adolescence, I think you might be preferred to style your hair by many types of styling products or even iron the hair from curly to become straight or vice versa. In fact, this totally harms your hair. For my advice, do not use too much of the heat styling products and chemical treatments. Follow the instructions and don’t use them on wet hair or high setting. Give your hair a vacation from styling once in a while. Ask your hair stylist or dermatologist for advice on using heat styling products.

  71. Travel As A Part Of Education

'Education' in the broad sense is the drawing out of the individual's personality and intellectual ability, and travel has always been considered an important part of this process. Yet, the functions assigned as part of education have varied curiously.
At past time, the motives behind travel were exploration, military conquest leading to ownership of foreign territories, trade and commerce, and diplomacy. For example, Clive of India, Sir Stamford Raffles of Singapore, are among the great names associated with the old- fashioned object of travel- colonization and, in the opinion of some people, ‘exploitation’.
Also, early travelers considered themselves teachers-of an outlook, a religion, and a way of life, which they assumed was superior to what they found, just because in certain respects, it was more materially advanced.
Today, distance means little in terms of time. The European executive will soon be able to make the journey to the U.S.A. within the day. The jet plane, the fast car, the ship, and railway have made travel for diplomatic, business or military reasons virtually an immediate thing. It becomes a function spread throughout the community.
Few travel primarily to gain education, but education, though incidental is the inevitable result.
As a conclusion, i think travels teach climatic conditions, racial customs, religions, languages and the social and political outlooks of other nationalities. It helps in racial and national understanding through exchange of idea which provides interesting conversation.

  72. Did education change your future?

In the ancient China, most of the citizen had been held this concept as their target of life. They always believed that education is the only way to change their destiny by bringing them out from poverty. Nowadays, mostly people still hold on still hold on this principle firmly in their daily life.
As we known, education was not only can change the destiny of one’s life, but also can change the one’s society status. As we known, we live in a complex community with all kinds of person. Thus, from education, we learn how to communicate with each others effectively and got the experience to living with each other….. For an instance, we can straightly see how the education has changed their life from their past experiences. When we were small, we were sent to kindergarten by our parents. At there, besides learning knowledge, we also learnt how to socialize with our friends. On the other hands, home education was equally important…. This is due to we spent the most time in our home. Thus, we were easily influence by the people around us. From the education we received since young, we know how to respect each others, be filial to elderly and a lot a lot……. Furthermore, the education was shaped our personalities and characteristics in an indirectly and informal way.

  75. Spiderman 3

Spider-Man 3 is a 2007 superhero film written and directed by Sam Raimi, with a screenplay by Ivan Raimi and Alvin Sargent. It is the third film in the Spider-Man film franchise based on the fictional Marvel Comics character Spider-Man. The film stars Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst, James Franco, Thomas Haden Church, Topher Grace and Bryce Dallas Howard.

The film begins with Peter Parker basking in his success as Spider-Man, while Mary Jane Watson continues her Broadway career. Harry Osborn still seeks vengeance for his father's death, and an escaped convict, Flint Marko, falls into a particle accelerator and is transformed into a shape-shifting sand manipulator. An alien symbiote crashes to Earth and bonds with Peter, influencing his behavior for the worse. When Parker abandons the symbiote, it finds refuge in Eddie Brock, Jr., a rival photographer, causing Peter to face his greatest challenge.

Spider-Man 3 was commercially released in multiple countries on May 1, 2007, and released in the United States in both conventional and IMAX theaters on May 4, 2007 by Columbia Pictures. Although the film received generally mixed reviews from critics, in contrast to the previous two films' highly positive reviews, it stands as the most successful film in the series worldwide, Marvel's most successful movie, as well as the second highest-grossing superhero film behind 2008's The Dark Knight.

    Comment:
One of my favourite movies of all time is Spiderman 3 (though i completely forgot about it till I came across the above excerpt while surfing). The above article got me thinking on why Spiderman 3 was such a huge success.

Obviuosly, the movie was good. It surprised me in how it managed to explore several different themes, especially relating to our human nature, while still managing to maintain the pace of an action movie. There was certainly more balance here than in Spiderman 1, I would say.

The movie is not subtle about its main themes of the freedom to choose and friendship. For instance, at the point where Peter Parker becomes infected with the symbiote, you can see that all the symbiote has done is reinforce existing tendencies in his personality. It makes you think about how we all make choices, and how our choices determine which of our human traits end up being accentuated, and defining who we are.

There are peripheral questions which, if you think about them, you are forced to grapple with. For instance, is it moral to let a criminal escape? What if that criminal is a victim of society and happenstance? Should we give him leeway because of that, or ought we to focus on the fact that in the end, it was his choice, and nobody really compelled him to turn to a life of crime?

Overall, I'm impressed with the movie, and I'd give it a nine out of ten. It isn't subtle in how it deals with its main themes, though, and parts of the plot are quite clearly contrived. Still, it's definitely one of the better movies that I have watched.

  76. Regulated Prostitution

In some countries prostitution (the exchange of sex for money) is illegal, in a number of countries prostitution is legal, but most activities which surround it (operating a brothel, soliciting in a public place etc) are prohibited, many times making it very difficult for people to engage in prostitution without breaking any law , while in other countries prostitution is legal and regulated (including in a few jurisdictions in countries where prostitution is otherwise illegal).

In countries where prostitution itself is not illegal, but most associated activities are outlawed, prostitution is not regulated (prostitutes do not have to undergo health checks, they do not have to register, their activity is not considered a recognized field of work etc).

Brothels are illegal in most European counties, as is pimping (see Prostitution in Europe), but in some jurisdictions, prostitution is legal and regulated. The degree of regulation varies very much by country, for example not all countries with regulated prostitution require mandatory health checks (because such checks are seen as too intrusive, a violation of human rights and a dicriminatory policy, since the clients don't have to be subjected to them). Countries with regulated prostitution include Netherlands (see Prostitution in the Netherlands), Germany, Austria, Turkey and some Australian states.

Such approaches are taken with the stance that prostitution is impossible to eliminate and thus these societies have chosen to regulate it in ways that reduce the more undesirable consequences. Goals of such regulations include controlling sexually transmitted disease, reducing sexual slavery, controlling where brothels may operate and dissociating prostitution from crime syndicates.

Some countries display official "no prostitutes here" signs to indicate areas where it is illegal to solicit a prostitute. In countries where prostitution is legal it is usual for the practice to be restricted to particular areas.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legalized_prostitution

    comment:

When i first found out that some countries legalized prostitution, i was truly appalled. If anyone based their argument over the fact that prostitution should be legalized because people have the right to do what they want with their own body and people need money, then they are seriously out of their mind!

One fact is that if a person really has the right to do what they want with their body then it's the same as saying that anyone has the right to kill themselves because it's their life.Check-ups at a hospital daily would not help the situation because once a person gets a disease, then we have an issue of spending government money that shouldn’t be spent on this in the first place just to help that person and an uproar of how taxes may be going higher.

There are also miscarriages and unwanted pregnancies from prostitution. Therefore, there is a limit to what people can do. Another fact is that there are many possible ways of getting money for necessities. It's the fault of those who have no jobs, because they aren't searching every possible way of finding a job or getting a better education so that they can get a job. They may say that they’re looking but they may not be trying hard enough. So people have other options besides prostitution, dealing drugs, or any other wrong way of getting money.

Money isn't a descent excuse for prostitution, because there are better ways of getting money. The government should not be allowed to say, “Well if a person chooses prostitution she can do it as long as it does not hurt anyone. Who cares if she gets “knocked up and hurt. She chose it knowing what could happen.” That’s just like saying “we don’t care what people do; as long as it does not hurt me or the others around them. If they end up in the hospital or dead that’s ok.”

  77. Some tips to be given to kids in case of a fire
The first and foremost thing, avoid panicking.
Make sure you leave the house as soon as you can, instead of searching for things.
Hiding below the bed or in the closet is not a good idea during a fire outbreak.
If the room is filled with smoke, get down on the ground. Being closer to the floor makes breathing much more easier.
Before trying to open the door and running out of the room, check the door by touching it. If it's too hot don't try to open it.
If you can't escape through the door, look out for some other option like the window.
Once out, never enter the house again to get something.

  78. Effects of Hurricanes

When a powerful hurricane hits land, it can cause more damage to life and property than any other natural disaster. The effects of hurricanes include storm surge, strong wind, inland flooding and tornadoes.
Storm surge is the most devastating effect that accounts for 90 percent of the hurricane deaths. It refers to the rapid rise in the level of water that comes ashore, as the hurricane hits land.
The overall effect of a hurricane depends on speed of the wind. It helps to determine the force of the hurricane storm, the storm surge and the damage that the storm can cause.
It is a fact that inland flooding causes more deaths than the actual hurricane storms. On an average, 5-10 inch rainfall is common. However, rainfall may increase depending upon the storm.
Hurricane storms may also result in tornadoes. However, the frequency and occurrence vary from one hurricane storm to another. Very often, such tornadoes are of minimal strength.
An example of powerful storms is the Hurricane Katrina on August 29, 2005, which struck the United States, causing death of more than 1,800 people and property damage worth $81billion. It was the costliest hurricane in the history of US. Though, heavy rainfall may prove to be beneficial at times of drought, the overall effects of hurricanes are more devastating. Some researchers are of the opinion that hurricanes are caused due to climate change and/or global warming. However, studies are ongoing to study the relation between climate change and hurricanes.

  79. Depression (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Depression_(mood))

In the fields of psychology and psychiatry, the terms depression or depressed refer to sadness and other related emotions and behaviours. It can be thought of as either a disease or a syndrome.

The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) states that a depressed mood is often reported as feeling depressed, sad, helpless, and hopeless. In traditional colloquy, "depressed" is often synonymous with "sad," but both clinical and non-clinical depression can also refer to a conglomeration of more than one feeling.

Such a mixture can include (but is not limited to) anger, fear, anxiety, despair, guilt, apathy, perceived helplessness, loss of interest in pleasure, pain, and/or grief, in addition to what many people would describe as typical "sadness". Depressives sometimes engage in violence or excessive criticism of others. Many depressed people have obsessions, alcoholism or other addictions. Depression is harmful to the human body and can affect proper functioning of the brain. Extended depression can lead to suicidal tendencies.

With modern medical developments, even mild levels of depression can be now treated.

    Comment:

I believe Depression is known to exist since ancient times, However it's incidence is on the rise due to the higher levels of stress in everyday living, low frustration tolerance and lack of social support. Depression is observed more in females than in
males. Unfortunately,it gets neglected by the
person suffering, family members and at times, even by the doctor.

Patients who are unable to express their depression suffer in silence or turn to alcohol or sleeping pills for help. Suicide or harbouring suicidal feelings is a known complication of depression and may
result in a permanent loss to the family and society. To avoid that, early detection and treatment is critical.

Therefore, family members play a vital role in the identification and management of depression so as to allow these people to live a good and happy life.

  80. Numerology is any of many systems, traditions or beliefs in a mystical or esoteric relationship between numbers and physical objects or living things.

Numerology and numerological divination were popular among early mathematicians, such as Pythagoras, but are no longer considered part of mathematics and are regarded as pseudomathematics by modern scientists.[1] [2]This is similar to the historical development of astronomy out of astrology, and chemistry from alchemy.

Today, numerology is often not associated with numbers, but with the occult, alongside astrology and similar divinatory arts.
    Numerology.

The term can also be used for those who, in the view of some observers, place excess faith in numerical patterns, even if those people don't practice traditional numerology. For example, in his 1997 book Numerology: Or What Pythagoras Wrought, mathematician Underwood Dudley uses the term to discuss practitioners of the Elliott wave principle of stock market analysis.

    Comment:

I believe numerology teaches us how we can take control of our lives and change it towards the positive. It is a reality that numbers are everywhere and have influenced human life since time immemorial, so to say that numbers have special meaning in our lives, isn't untrue at all. Everything in life can be reduced to numbers and hence it is no surprise why many people feel that numerology has the answers to every problem. However most of us think that that it is plain superstition.

I am not saying that you would get guaranteed results by making use of numerology but it would definitely help you understand your inner self and no harm can come of trying it. So why not give it a shot? You never know, you might be amazed to find that it helps you reach the pinnacles of success at home and at work. So go ahead and find out your numerology number to help you decide whether this number science is capable of providing the desired results.

  81. Here, i would like to share with you about VASELINE (PETROLEUM JELLY)which i use it as my lip balm... but it actually has a lot of benefit....

Petroleum jelly products have more uses than one may think. This article will discuss some innovative ideas for vaseline use.

The benefits of petroleum jelly or Vaseline are well known. It is an excellent lubricant, it can be used as a coating to prevent substances from adhering to surfaces and can be used to slide out tight rings. Vaseline, however, can also be used by many as a basic first aid item that can help minor irritations and problems.
    Composition

Vaseline is a mixture of hydrocarbons that was developed from petroleum. Robert Chesebrough refined and patented the process of manufacture. Physically, the petroleum jelly doesn’t oxidize to air, doesn’t react with many chemical reagents, is water insoluble and is transparent, odorless and clear in color. Today its use includes easing skin disorders and eczema. It is used in many ointments and is useful by itself.
    Helpful uses

    * It protects cuts and scrapes. When it first appeared, Vaseline was promoted as an ointment for the protection of cuts. The jelly creates a barrier that keeps the air, water and bacteria out, promoting healing.
    * It prevents windburn by creating a barrier between the skin and the wind, helping to prevent windburn.
    * It helps psoriasis by lubricating the patchy, itchy white scales and keeping eczema under control in dry weather.
    * It helps to eliminate lice, by smothering and snuffing out the lice, when thickly applied to the scalp, when nothing else works.
    * It moisturizes chapped lips and burns to prevent dryness and promote healing.
    * It may help minimize allergies by trapping pollen when placed under the nose, thereby minimizing the pollen spores entry in through the nostrils.

    Petroleum jelly don’ts

    * Do not use on fresh burns. Although petroleum jelly is helpful as a moisturizer on older burns, it can trap heat in a fresh burn, making it more uncomfortable.
    * Don’t use with latex condoms. Petroleum jelly products can weaken and degrade the structure of the latex and thereby promote tears and ruptures, which can result in unwanted pregnancies.
    * Petroleum Jelly shouldn’t be used in people with nasal congestion. Due to the thickness of the jelly, it may immobilize the cilia or nose hairs reducing the amount of air that can enter the nose. Direct inhalation of petroleum jelly can lead to potential aspiration into the lungs possibly causing pneumonia.

  82. THE RABBIT STORY

This is a true story. A sad story, but it was just so unusual and weird that I thought that it was worth sharing.

A few years back my sister (Ginny) and I were driving through Brown County State Park in Southern Indiana. It was about 2 am on Thanksgiving weekend. My sister was driving her new car. She had only been driving for two years and only had the car a few days. She wasn't used to handling it. It was dark. The road was surrounded by trees. There were branches and leaves over the top of the road. It was like driving through a tunnel except that the road kept winding back and forth, back and forth. It would have been a perfect set for a Friday the Thirteenth movie.

Anyway, we're going around a corner, when my sister screams, slams on the brakes and I feel/hear a thump. I had been looking out the side window and didn't know what had happened. But, I had a bad feeling that we had hit something.

My sister started crying. She kept saying" I hit it! I hit it! Oh my God, I hit it! I'm so sorry", etc. I tried calming her down but nothing would work. Finally, dreading what I might find, I opened my door and walked around behind the car.

On the ground was a rabbit (or as my sister calls them - bunnies). It was laying on it's side. It was having convulsions. I didn't see much blood, but I figured it for a goner anyway.

About this point my sister comes around the car and sees the rabbit/bunny laying on the ground. She starts crying her head off. I didn't know what to say or do. I mean, what can you say?

For once in my life I was speechless. I put my arm around her and tried to console her. She just kept crying. I didn't know what to do. The rabbit/bunny was still suffering. I didn't think it would live, but I didn't have the heart to stop it's suffering, especially with my sister watching. I really honestly didn't know what to do. I just stood there with a dumb look on my face trying to think of something to say to console my little sister.

About this time an air of head lights came around the corner. The car was moving fast and I was afraid the driver hadn't seen us because of the trees and the winding roads.

At the last second the driver slammed on the brakes and pulled to a stop behind our car. The driver of the sports car (a woman about thirty years old) got out and asked if we were OK. I tried to explain about the rabbit/bunny, but couldn't find a way to say it without upsetting my sister even more.

The woman walked up and looked where I was standing. She saw the rabbit/bunny at my feet. Once again, I tried to find the right words to explain how upset my sister was, but just ended up mumbling something that probably made no sense at all.

She bent over and examined the rabbit/bunny for a few seconds. I tried to explain that I needed to do something to help put the rabbit out of it's misery, and that my sister would never forgive herself if we just drove off. Obviously, taking it with us and having it die in the car would also be a mistake. I kept fumbling for words.....

The lady stood up and said, "It's OK, I know what to do". Before I could ask her what she meant she started walking back towards her car. My sister and I looked at each other ... both of us wondering what the woman meant when she said she knew what to do. My sister probably thought the woman was a nurse or veterinarian. Me, I thought maybe she had a gun and planned on letting the rabbit stop suffering. I got apprehensive thinking about my sister's reaction.

The lady from the sports car walked back and got her keys out of the ignition. She walked around to the back of her car. She stuck in the keys and opened the trunk. This is it I thought, she's getting the gun.

Instead the lady pulled out a big suitcase. She set it on the ground then closed the trunk. She opened the suitcase and pulled out a smaller woman's case (whatever you call them). She set it on the trunk. She reached in the case and pulled out a box.

I kept thinking that if she ever needed the gun she would never be able to get to it in time. Finally, the woman sets the box on the trunk and opens it. She reaches in and pulls something out. The gun, I was sure of it.

As she walked up, I asked if she would rather I take care of the rabbit. She said no, that was OK, she knew what she was doing.

I took my sister up front and tried to shield her from the blast that we were sure to hear any second. My sister started crying again. I felt like such a putz. My sister needed me and I didn't know how to comfort her. And I kept cringing waiting for the blast.

Instead, I hear a hissing noise. I look over and the woman is kneeling over the rabbit/bunny with a spray can in her hand.

I'm totally dumbfounded. I start to ask her what she is doing when my sister walks up next to me. I put my arm around sis and start to ask the lady what she is doing again.

The woman starts to explain when, all of the sudden, the rabbit/bunny jumps up and hops about 10 feet. He stops, I think he's going to keel over, but instead he turns around raises a paw in the air and begins shaking it.

Once again speechless, my jaw hanging at the ground I try to find the words to ask, "Lady, what did you do?"

The rabbit/bunny hops another 10 feet. Stops, turns around to face us and shakes it's paw in the air.

This continues for several minutes. The three of us, me, my sister Ginny and this strange lady stand together watching as the rabbit bunny continues forward stopping every ten feet to turn around and shake his right paw at us.

Finally, after the rabbit bunny stops one final time on top of a hill with the full moon at his back shaking his paw in the air, I find the words.

    "Lady, what did you do?"

    She says "I'm a beautician."

    I say, "So?"

She say's, "That was hair restorer with a permanent wave."

    ................................................................

OK, how many of you thought it was really a true story?

  83. DRY EYES
Patients with dry eyes may experience different symptoms, depending on which tear film layers are affected. Some people have a sensation that their eyes feel “dry”, but many do not have this sensation. Some people experience itching, scratchiness, burning, or a sensation that there’s something in their eye (“foreign body sensation”). Others have symptoms of visual blurring, or even double vision.

How can a problem with the tear film cause blurry or even double vision? The tear film is also an important focusing surface for the eye, sort of like a “water lens”. Any problem that makes the tear film uneven or unstable, can lead to problems with focusing. A common complaint of people with dry eye syndrome is that when they read, their vision is clear at first, but after reading for 10 or 20 minutes, their vision becomes blurry and they can no longer see clearly.

  84. ZAM-ZAM WATER

What's cooled, refreshing and will quench your thirst in the hot, Arabian desert? If you answered (fill in the name of the latest fad soft drink), you're wrong.Zamzam is the name of the well that provides the water to billions of people, have thirstily drunk from throughout history, especially during the Hajj pilgrimage. It is linked to some of the most important personalities in world history: the Prophets Ibrahim and Ismail (peace be upon them) and Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him & his family), as well as Ismail's mother Hajira (may Allah be pleased with her). The Zamzam well is located in Makkah, which is the heart of the Hajj pilgrimage. Standing only a few meters east of the Kaaba, the well is 35 meters deep and topped by an elegant dome.

1.How the Zamzam came into being?

All traditions agree that Allah created the well to provide Hajira, the wife of Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him), and her baby Prophet Ismail (peace be upon him) with water in the hot, dry valley they were in.In her desperate search for water, Hajira ran seven times back and forth in the scorching heat between the two hills of Safa and Marwa to provide for her baby who was dying of thirst. Today, this same act is a necessary rite of Hajj all Muslims, mothers and fathers, must complete.Prophet Ibrahim settled his family there as part of God's mission for him. The first thing Hajira had to do then was to look for water in the area. She was searching for it while watching at her son and would run whenever she could not see Ismail. Allah saw her effort and miraculously blessed the spot with a water spring.

2.The Zamzam before the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)

The appearance of the Zamzam began the settlement of the Makkan valley, where the descendants of Prophet Ismail populated the area. But as time passed, Prophet Ibrahim and Ismail's monotheistic message, which once dominated the region, began taking a backseat to pagan, polytheistic beliefs.Nonetheless, the well of Zamzam retained its importance in later generations. The grandfather of the Prophet, Abdul Muttalib, was honored with the responsibility of taking care of the well and the pilgrims to Makkah.

    3.Zamzam water: the power drink

One of the miracles of Zamzam water is its ability to satisfy both thirst and hunger. One of the Companions of the Prophet said that before Islam, the water was called "Shabbaa'ah" or satisfying. It was filling and helped them nourish their families.
After Islam, this powerful ability to quench thirst and fill stomachs remained. The Prophet said: "The best water on the face of the earth is the water of Zamzam; it is a kind of food and a healing from sickness."
According to the Muslim collection of Hadith, Abu Dharr Ghifari, a Companion, noted that when he first arrived in Makkah during the early days of Islam, he survived only on Zamzam water for a whole month. Not only did he satisfy his hunger and thirst, he became obese.
More recently, in the last few decades, scientists have collected samples of Zamzam water and they have found certain peculiarities that make the water healthier, like a higher level of calcium.

4.Zamzam water: a cure for sickness

Apart from its ability to serve as satisfying food and drink, Zamzam water's health benefits are also commended. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him & his family) said it was a healing from sickness. This is why pilgrims to Makkah to this day collect it in bottles to bring for relatives and friends back home who are ill.
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him & his family) used to carry Zamzam water in pitchers and water skins back to Madinah. He used to sprinkle it over the sick and make them drink it.
Wahab Ibn Munabbah, who was from the second generation of Muslims, said 'I swear by Him in whose possession my life is, Allah Ta`ala will relieve the person of all illnesses who drinks Zamzam to his fill and will also grant him good health.'

    5.Zamzam water and Hajj

During Hajj and Umra, pilgrims are recommended to drink Zamzam water to their fill to quench their thirst. They also continue the tradition of bringing it back for family and friends.
For example, despite tight US laws forbidding the import of foreign liquids and fruits, there is an exception made for pilgrims returning from Makkah, who bring water of the Zamzam home for loved ones.

  85. LAUGHTER IS THE BEST MEDICINE 3

    Joke 1:
A large notice in a shop window announced a big sale, with sweeping
reductions, starting at 9 a.m. An enormous queue had started to form by 7-30
a.m. Just before the shop was due to open, an inconspicuous little man walked to
the head of the queue. Angry women elbowed and pushed him until he was
right at the back of the line. Undaunted, the little man went to the head of the
    queue again.
Once more, he was shoved unceremoniously to the back, this time with a
few smacks on the face and a couple of thumps from umbrellas wielded by
    angry women.
The little man walked to one side of the queue and said: ‘If that’s your attitude, I won’t open the shop at all today!’

    Joke 2:
Two astrologers met each other in the street on a particularly cold and bitter day.
‘Terrible winter we’re having,’ muttered one. ‘Yes,’ replied the other. ‘It reminds me of the winter of 2057.’

  86. IS WHOLEMEAL BREADREALLY HEALTHY?

    1.Not genuine

Firstly, a lot of whole meal bread is not genuine, 100 percent whole meal. Most are made from a mixture of refined flour and wholemeal flour – typically 50 to 70 percent white flour, but it can be as much as 90 percent.
Even high fibred breads may not be 100 percent whole meal. Some are made from white flour mixed with bran.
It’s not the same thing. Bran is pure fibred, without the vitamins, minerals and other nutrients.
In America, there had even been cases of “high-fiber” bread made with sawdust. And you won’t be able to tell from reading the list of ingredients on the label. There, sawdust is described as “plant cellulose”.
But let’s assume you manage to get genuine, 100 percent whole meal bread. And it’s still soft and fluffy, like white bread. Some “healthy bread” are like this.
    How do they make it?
By adding lots of yeast and lots of sugar. This is not really healthy bread.
Most of you would know by now that sugar is not healthy.
What about yeast? Some books recommend yeast products, such as brewer’s yeast, as health foods since they are rich in vitamin B.
But too much yeast can be very harmful. Yeast is very hardy and they don’t die even after baking. In your intestines, they can grow out of control, leading to yeast infection, or Candida.
Candida is very common in modern society, especially among women. Sufferers experience a wide range of symptoms, such as sugar cravings, chronic fatigue, tiredness, eating disorders, etc.
Candida is not primarily caused by eating yeast, because a healthy body can prevent yeast from spreading out of control. But eating lots of yeast will only worsen the problem.
Bread made with little yeast tends to be more dense and heavy. These are better - closer to being healthy bread.
Better still are sourdough breads made without added yeast.
Instead, they use a sourdough starter, which is made by mixing flour with water, and leaving it in the open for a few days. The only yeast is those found naturally on wheat, or in the atmosphere.
Research has shown that sourdough breads are more easily digestible and its nutrients more readily absorbed by the body than yeasted bread.
Genuine sourdough bread, however, is again hard to find. (But a lot easier now than in the 1990s when this article about healthy bread was written.)
Many “sourdough” breads are made with both sourdough and yeast. Read the ingredients list carefully, and question the baker.

    2.Home made healthy bread

Okay. Let’s say you can find 100 percent whole meal bread, genuine sourdough bread. Let’s say you even bake it yourself, so you know exactly what you put in.
Do you know exactly? Do you know what the flour contains? Isn’t it just flour?
Don’t be too sure of that. In Non-toxic and Natural, Debra Lynn Dadd tells us that “plain flour” (and bread) may contain up to 30 different chemicals. Current food laws do not require these chemicals to be listed. They include bread improvers, bleach, preservatives, etc.
So if you’re into bread making, buy your flour from reliable companies that are committed to pure, clean foods.
Companies that are produce organic flours are generally okay. But look for additional information, such as the company’s philosophy and guiding principles.
Look also for stone ground flour. This is better because conventional steel grinding generates heat, which affects both the quality and the taste of the flour. Stone grinding is relatively cool.

    3.Healthy bread from fresh flour

More importantly, use fresh flour. Because the quality of flour deteriorates once it is made.
It’s like when you cut an apple. It turns brown as its oxidizes when it is exposed to air.
The same thing happens when whole grain are broken up and ground into flour. They too, begin to oxidize except that the process is slower and less obvious.
Ideally, you should grind your own flour just before using. People in traditional societies actually do this. I read that in the Himalays, the Sherpas (mountain guides) carry a small flour mill and they would grind flour each time to make bread for one meal.
Today, there are electric stone mills that can produce 1 or 2 kg of flour in minutes. They are worth the investment if you are serious about eating healthy bread. Breads and cakes made with fresh flour rises more.

  87. Two frogs

A group of frogs were traveling through the woods, and two of them
fell into a deep pit. When the other frogs saw how deep the pit
was, they told the two frogs that they were as good as dead. The
two frogs ignored the comments and tried to jump up out of the pit
with all their might. The other frogs kept telling them to stop,
that they were as good as dead. Finally, one of the frogs took
heed to what the other frogs were saying and gave up. He fell down
    and died.

The other frog continued to jump as hard as he could. Once again,
the crowd of frogs yelled at him to stop the pain and just die. He
jumped even harder and finally made it out. When he got out, the
other frogs said, "Did you not hear us?" The frog explained to
them that he was deaf. He thought they were encouraging him the
    entire time.

    This story teaches two lessons:

    1. There is power of life and death in the tongue. An encouraging
word to someone who is down can lift them up and help them make it
    through the day.

    2. A destructive word to someone who is down can be what it takes
    to kill them.

Be careful of what you say. Speak life to those who cross your
path. The power of words... it is sometimes hard to understand
that an encouraging word can go such a long way. Anyone can speak
words that tend to rob another of the spirit to continue in
difficult times. Special is the individual who will take the time
    to encourage another.

  88. The Rose Within

A certain man planted a rose and watered it faithfully and before it blossomed, he examined it.

He saw the bud that would soon blossom, but noticed thorns upon the stem and he thought, "How can any beautiful flower come from a plant burdened with so many sharp thorns? Saddened by this thought, he neglected to water the rose, and just before it was ready to bloom... it died.

So it is with many people. Within every soul there is a rose. The God-like qualities planted in us at birth, grow amid the thorns of our faults. Many of us look at ourselves and see only the thorns, the defects.

We despair, thinking that nothing good can possibly come from us. We neglect to water the good within us, and eventually it dies. We never realize our potential.

Some people do not see the rose within themselves; someone else must show it to them. One of the greatest gifts a person can possess is to be able to reach past the thorns of another, and find the rose within them.

This is one of the characteristic of love... to look at a person, know their true faults and accepting that person into your life... all the while recognizing the nobility in their soul. Help others to realize they can overcome their faults. If we show them the "rose" within themselves, they will conquer their thorns. Only then will they blossom many times over.

  89. PUPPIES FOR SALE

A farmer had some puppies he needed to sell. He painted a sign advertising the pups and set about Nailing it to a post on the edge of his yard. As he was driving the last nail into the post, he Felt a tug on his overalls. He looked down into the Eyes of a little boy.
Mister," he said, "I want to buy one of your puppies."
"Well," said the farmer, as he rubbed the sweat off the back of his neck, "these puppies come from fine parents and cost a good deal of money."
The boy dropped his head for a moment. Then reaching deep into his pocket, he pulled out a handful of change and held it up to the farmer. "I've got thirty-nine cents. Is that enough to take a look?"
    "Sure," said the farmer.
And with that he let out a whistle,"Here,Dolly!" he called.
Out from the doghouse and down the ramp ran Dolly followed by four little balls of fur. The little boy pressed his face against the chain link fence. His eyes danced with delight.

As the dogs made their way to the fence, the little boy noticed something else stirring inside the doghouse. Slowly another little ball appeared; this One noticeably smaller. Down the ramp it slid. Then in a somewhat awkward manner the little pup began hobbling toward the others, doing its best to catch up....
"I want that one," the little boy said, pointing to the runt.
The farmer knelt down at the boy's side and said, "Son, you don't want that puppy. He will never be able to run and play with you like these other dogs would."
With that the little boy stepped back from the fence, reached down, and began rolling up one leg of his trousers. In doing so he revealed a steel brace running down both sides of his leg attaching itself To a specially made shoe. Looking back up at the farmer, he said, "You see sir, I don't run too well myself, and he will need Someone who understands."

The world is full of people who need someone who understands.
